are the lakers starting to take a backseat to the clippers?

They are better, whether its just for right now or not, there is no denying they are clearly better.

They're definitely the better team right now, but this is a Lakers town. Even though the Lakers are playing a lot worse than the Cippers and the Clippers have a 15 game winning streak, we're still the talk of the town. That just shows how much attention is being put on the Lakers compared to our JV team.

The question can be interpreted in many ways.

Are the Lakers taking a backseat to the Clippers as a franchise? Of course not, not a shot in hell.

Are the Lakers taking a backseat tot he Clippers in terms of being the better team & playing better? Yes, for now anyway.

As a LA native & major Basketball Fan... I'm stoked that the Clippers are doing so well & are such an exciting team... I find myself sometimes rooting for them & other times hoping they fail... I would probably root for them over any other team in the Playoffs besides the Lakers... I'll never be a die hard, heart & soul fan though.... Never.

First round matchup is more probable

well be extremely lucky to end anything higher than 6th seed the way this team plays with inconsitent energy and care.

clippers weakness being exposed by utah jazz. theyre playing slower and in the half court and just battling in the paint. clippers get a few 3's randomly but the jazz slowed it down and only run on turnovers.

I grew up loving basketball first. So it's not so unbelievable to root for both LA teams. It's more like having twins. One becomes smarter/better than the other one but you try to love each one equally. I'm not embarrass to root for the Clipps but you know who I'll be going for when they meet up.

believe it or not there are a lot of clippers/lakers fans although I think after this year, that will become more defined....i feel that the lakers fans that also supported the clippers will all eventually become clippers fans because they get annoyed by the amount of idiot lakers fans that are insecure about the clippers and talk crap about them left and right.

its def getting to that point where you have to choose one side though....no longer can you be both a laker and a clipper fan...it's like being a laker and a celtic fan...it just doesn't work. You gotta pick a side. I hope the Clippers crash and burn and each time they win, I'm upset, not because I'm jealous, but because they're in the same conference, same division, SAME CITY as us, and they are knocking at our doorstep trying to take the keys to LA away from us.
