And what if we got him without giving up Pau/Bynum/Kobe? I'd take him without thinking twice!!!!

The Lakers needs a change. Yes sure, Blake has created a bit of chemistry with the team, but overall so what? His chemistry with the team has amounted in how many wins? His chemistry has done what? We're struggling this season and it's because of our PG play.
I love Blake. I honestly do. I know he gets a lot of heat here because he's not perfect, he's not the best shooter, and he isn't really a penetrating PG, but he's got a great work ethic and he's always scrappy. I love that.
But even with the positives he brings to the team, he's not good enough.
You've been among those of us trying to bring in PGs right? So where was your argument then? If we bring in a PG, then either Fisher or Blake gets the short end of the stick and I think we all know it's not going to be Fisher. If we get a PG, Blake might as well be gone anyway.
If we can turn Blake into Felton, even a Felton that has had an underwhelming season, we've upgraded our weakest position. Felton is better than any PG on our roster by far. Would it take time to gel? Yes, probably, but so what? The chemistry we have right now isn't cutting it anyway, why not upgrade and hope for the best?
We as Laker fans are selfish and want the best of everything, but if we have the chance to upgrade our team without giving up any of our Big 3 you do it no questions asked, hands down, 100%.
LAKEROC wrote:^ Yes, if he didn't have to give up Pau/ Kobe/ Bynum, and we didn't have to take back a crap contract in the deal, then I would be on board with that acquisition, considering our pressing needs at point guard. However, there is no way, they wouldn't want Gasol in return, so the discussion ends. Now, I would be willing to take back Andray Blatche from Washington(crap contract) in exchange for Pau, and expiring next year(Fisher/Walton) and multiple picks, HOWEVER if Washington is expecting us to kill our cap space, and rid them of their problem child Blatche, I want Wall in the deal. I would be willing to take bad contracts back if it got us Wall, and we didn't give up Kobe or Bynum.
Anything, and anyone(outside of Kobe and Bynum) to get Wall here I am fully on board with.

Kobe, MJ, Shaq, Tim, Boston, Sheeds Pistons, Dirk, Wade, and Hakeem have all the hardware. It may be a PG league in the season but they ain't brining home no hardware in the playoffs, as the best PG on all those teams is Tony Parker
kblo247 wrote:I would do the deal solely because LA will have to win in the road in the playoffs. I'm sorry but Blake's game does not travel. It was a knock on him in Prtlan and Denver in the playoffs as well. Stev this year is the best pg the team has at Staples, but on the road he makes Fisher playing big minutes on both ends a necessity. I'd take Felton because he might actually show up in a hostile environment and I know Fisher is not afraid of the road, which makes our chance of winning that much greater
Heck I would be good with Blake for Crawford if it was offered

D'antoni didn't want to give up Felton...only way to make salaries match however. Felton was very good in NY not so good in Portland. He is still WAY better than any of the Laker PG and if you can get him without breaking up your core why wouldn't you?

I have a hard time believing that. Every time I'd watch a Knicks game, I saw D'Antoni getting pissed off at whatever Felton was doing.
If D'Antoni did want to keep him, it was because he knew the others were worse than Felton was.
