Chris Kaman Discussion: Submarino Amarillo to Portlandia

We could've done much worse IMO.
Still, I have absolutely no hopes (that includes making the playoffs) for this season.

a lot of people seem down about the signing but I think it was a great move. chris to me seems like a guy with a winning type mentality.

Nah, Pau'll just own him iike he did in '09

Lol I wouldn't count on that.. Especially if Houston hangs on to Asik.. They're going to be a nightmare for opposing bigs. However I am looking foward to seeing Jordan Hill own him on the offensive boards, & Kobe will absolutely drop 40 on him before all is said & done.

I rather see Mbenga in the Phoenix offense..maybe he can turn into Amar'e

honestly how many talented experienced players in the free agent list can the lakers take
moreover it's serious the lakers sign him a year just for only transition

For those who suggested that we tried to get Bynum and are not happy with Kaman. You have to remember that both are injury prone players and since Kaman is much cheaper, he's the best option.

I would really like us to take flyer on Greg Oden with a minimum contract. Low-risk, possible high reward.

i dont get the hate on the decision... he will be serviceable if he backs up Pau, if you care about advanced stats his per-36 production hasn't dropped, and he's a chucker that won't defer to Kobe... it will provide the comedy on and off the court that is much needed this season, and thats our goal: just get through the season

and not that it matters, but we're not missing the playoffs. borderline teams like the Pelicans/TWolves will still lose to us with whoever we sign from here on out, imo... sure we can't play D, but our top players aren't SCRUBS

They don't have to be, but if they're on the sidelines they won't help us much.

I like the K-Dude
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.
