I'd trade him for whatever we can get. I don't give a damn what situation honestly. What should I care if he goes to a situation that's not great?

Send him to Cleveland for their 1st. They've still got a shot at the playoffs somehow. The Suns too. I really don't care, I just want picks and prospects.

well I say winning cause only winning teams would want him right now :man10: bad teams would just want to unload bad contracts back to us.

I know, I'm just saying. :man10:

Maybe a bad team thinks they could be good with him. Maybe a bad team thinks it's worth it to have him around. I don't know... But just use him to get something. He's productive right now and he's known to be injury prone. Just trade him asap.

I think he's gone. He's a waste when Pau comes back; yes, I don't think Pau is going to be moved.

yes I agree he needs to be traded, he's by far the most valuable asset right now due to his production and small contract. I dont think Pau is getting moved, I hope I'm wrong.

Move them both, I don't care.

Right now we're officially in the top 5 discussion which makes our odds of getting a top pick pretty nice. If we stink worse than the Kings going forward, we have over a 10% shot at that number 1 pick. Not bad. But to get there we need to get rid of anybody productive. :man10:

Trade away Kaman and Pau. Trade away Jodie if you can. Trade away everybody except Marshall, Kobe, Henry, Young, Farmar, Sacre, and maybe Kelly. If you can get takers for Blake or Wes Johnson then do it. Bring back Manny Harris and bring up Malcolm Thomas and let's go to work at stinking it up for the next month or so.

man how pathetic are the Kings as a franchise, they have talents and YOUTH on their side and they still can't win games at a better rate than us with all of our problems. Not really complaining cause I do hope the King stay in their hole for the forseable future but dam how a team with Cousins, Gay, Thomas, etc. only have 17 wins is really really sad.

Yeah it just goes to show what a good franchise is and what a good franchise isn't. I have faith they'll win a few more games accidentally than us. They've got too much talent to lose at the clip we're losing at.

I would agree with all this, if we can get a player or two that we actually see staying with us for a couple of years; see if we can get some picks too. I am pretty sure someone would be interested in a big like Kaman, he can help almost any team in this league. What we don't want to do is trade Meeks for another Meeks. That's a lateral move that does not benefit anyone. But perhaps there's a team with a disgruntled player, or two guys that are good but play the same position and one is being under-utilized. If we could get that kind of player for any combination of Kaman/Meeks/Blake/Wes -- now, that would be very nice. Getting a true starting wing player for Pau would be great too. Having a top pick, targeting Love, and keeping those players you mentioned earlier -- now, that's a serious team right there.

You already have a starter in Kobe, potential starter in Marshall and great bench with Henry, Swag, Farmar, Sacre and Kelly. All young guys who can play 1-5. Draft a big if at all possible, get Love at the 4, trade these guys mentioned above for a solid two way SF, sign a PG (never hurts to have 3 on your team in this league where they get injured on a consistent basis) and a vet... done. Or draft a wing player, sign someone to play the 5.

.The Cavaliers inquired about trading for Chris Kaman but the talks have "stalled," according to the Akron Beacon-Journal.
This is more of a report than a mere rumor, and although the talks didn't go anywhere they at least give some insight into Cleveland's thinking -- acquiring a backup big man on an expiring contract makes sense as they vie for a playoff spot, especially with Anderson Varejao's back still ailing. The Cavs also reportedly have interest in Kings big man Jason Thompson, who could be a target if Jarrett Jack is dealt to Sacramento.

If they didn't want to give up a first for Pau what would they have been offering for Kaman.

Seriously... How would that conversation even go?

I would like to see what Kaman could do on a real contending team with a coach that would play to his strengths. He's never going to be a great defender or dominant rebounder but he could be a great high post initiator. He can hit the 18 footer and has enough skill to back down almost anyone. He seems to be stuck playing on poor teams for coaches that run systems that he doesn't flourish in.

The 3 moves in the post last night were the kind that only Bynum, Pau and he have the skill to do. The ability to play with your back to the basket is a lost art.

I'd be interested to see that as well, I wish we could keep him on for cheap next season with a new coach, I don't see how we could do better at the backup position. And yeah, some of those post moves, the fake out on Olynyk and spin back the other way for the lay in, the bank hook off the glass while turning and not even really looking at the hoop, these are moves I don't see from centers anymore. He's really offensively skilled, like he was brought up being coached in fundamentals or he has a natural feel for it, I don't know.

Kaman is a solid backup C and the Lakers should look to retain him and Jordan Hill in the offseason as they seem to play pretty well together.

Its a real bummer that Kaman isn't going to be sticky around next year. I know MDA will still be our coach next year and there is just no way Kaman will want to resign. We better enjoy him now because after these 27 or 28 games we have left he's gone.

Like most everyone else, I would love to see Kaman back here next year. He's an absolute joy to watch play the game. Still one of the better centers in the league, if not one of the top offensive 5s. But no way he re-signs here with MDA returning. It's a damn shame, he's an excellent baller.

Man I am starting to really respect this guy.... Rotting on the bench for no reason whatsoever and then drop 13 and 9 in 22 minutes and be cheering the team on.

That my friends is an intangible.....

Get 'em big fella!

Kevin Ding: Chris Kaman said he hasn't talked to Mike D'Antoni in 3 weeks--and still really hasn't, finding out he's starting tonight only by lineups.

Asked if this has been his toughest NBA season, Kaman said: "By far. Tenfold. ... It's unprecedented for me."

Mike Bresnahan: More Kaman on his season: "I'm not at peace...It’s somebody else controlling me. I’m a puppet. I don’t have my own strings under control.”
