I like his answer to that final question! :jam2:

But then again we've heard plenty of TALK from Dwight this year...

Sounds to me like Dwight wants to be traded to Brooklyn and has a serious problem with Kobe.

I still want to know "who" he thinks has sacrificed the most, considering he's a shell of himself this season due to not having the summer as normal, and then the shoulder added to the obstacles. He keeps bringing it up, not reading anything between the lines.

This is the funny part to me.... sacrificing for the team is not an exercise in doing less and then going to the first reporter and showing them stat sheets.... the very essence of the term is foreign to him. That much is evident.

A team of players that sacrifices for each other doesn't go around yapping about how much they are sacrificing.... Look no further than the San Antonio Spurs for that. 3 guys that could each be putting up much higher numbers.... yet are content doing what it takes to win. The difference?..... none of them have Adidas waiting to give them lifetime endorsement deals based on "visibility"....... and that's what I believe Howard is talking about when HE uses the term "Sacrifice".....

"We're going to do this for Dr. Buss" :jam2:

F yeah. Legggo Dwight. Sometimes you need to see the bottom before you can climb to the top!

edit: Let's not get overblown with his "sacrifice" comment. Everyone has, Kobe (not scoring) Nash (off-ball), Gasol (6th man) Dwight (less touches)....it was a legitimate statement, I don't think he was "implying" anything.

After Mitch's interview this morning, I sure hope Dwight will stop saying that the franchise doesn't support him.
In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

Kupchak on Howard:
"He deserves to have his name on the wall and a statue in front of Staples at some point in time".

Ummmm, yeah, good luck with that....

^ Yeah...I was thinking Mitch jumped the gun a bit on that one.

If he #1) works on his game & #2) gets back to 100% health and we add another player or somehow maintain Kobe's effectiveness for 4 more years and win 3 rings...then maybe.

I don't care what Dwight says as much as I care about what he does. He can say all the right things, but like with anyone else it doesn't mean anything if he doesn't give his all on the court, and comments about the media making stuff up means very little if his demeanor says different. He can say he gets along with Kobe, he can say he wants to win, he can say he likes it here, if rather he showed me, that's all I want.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @deadyded: Will Dwight re-sign with Lakers? ---> I do. They have talked enough to almost insure it, but with him you never really know.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @mike_bresnahan: Does Dwight see himself as part of Lakers' future? "Yeah, I do. That's what we've always talked about."

There are no teams out there who can give him what he wants:

Max money and years
Biggest market for endorsements
Most fame

Brooklyn can't sign him in the off season, since they're over cap. And they have no assets to trade for him. No one wants ex-kardashian and Lopez as their new front line. Dallas and Atlanta can try to sign him, but their markets are small, and they can't sign him for max. He'll make the most money here, on and off the court.

I just don't see him signing elsewhere, and the Lakers will let him walk before they sign and trade him for Brooklyn's junk. If the Lakers start winning, the bad attitudes will go away, on all sides.

WTF :freak2: :freak2: :freak2: :freak2:

Lakers May Choose Dwight Over Kobe If Ultimatum Given In Offseason

I've heard rumblings that if Howard told Laker officials this summer that the only way he'd stay in LA is if Kobe leaves, the Lakers could end up choosing Howard over Kobe. It's an unlikely scenario, but one worth watching.
Bryant has a no-trade clause and would be able to veto any trade. Bryant's massive $30.45 million contract for the 13-14 season would also prove difficult to trade.
