Absolutely. We could probably get someone to do a better job then Morris. Or just let Nash/Blake do the job and play DJO or even Glock at the 1 for few minutes. At worst they will take 2-3 shots and maybe even hit some of them. Morris just doesn't do anything.

Hes not bad defensively I can give him that. I dont think he has a future as Point guard in this league, maybe turn into a PG/SG hustle/ Defensive guy? He has good size and has some defensive instincts.

As for offense he can forget it.

^There's not too much room in the league for defensive specialist's at the guard position. You better D up like Tony freakin' Allen if you aren't going to bring your offensive game. And as bad as Tony Allen is on offense, at least he's athletic enough to convert at the rim.

Morris is not athletic, nor confidant enough to be a Tony Allen, Eric Bledsoe, Avery Bradley, super combo guard defensive specialist. If we're looking for a player that might fit that mold, DJO is our guy.

the kid should seriously RETHINK his game..he should just make himself an ELITE shooter from 3pt land..he should never put the ball on the floor unless its for one dribble..anything more than that is a garuanteed TO..at least shooters get paid and STAY in the league..i.e. that guy on the bulls who looks like ashton kutcher.

as it was that simple ... I suck at everything so I'm going to become one of the best shooters in the league

Kid is in a wonderful situation though , can't play at the NBA level but makes 900k a season , live in LA and has a spot on a 4 HOFers team ...

Chris Duhon in 4 minutes looked better than this kid most of the night.

this guy is horrible and doesnt deserve to be in for a second let alone be the first guard off the bench

I actually thought Morris looked OK in the loss v Clippers. I haven't seen any of tonight's game thus far, but he at least showed up again in the box score in limited minutes. he also brings energy.

Chris Duhon is underrated, especially in terms of his passing and playmaking.

Well that's because he was awful in Orlando after being pretty good in Chicago. He was, I think, the worst PG in the league statistically last season.

He's got a lot to prove and tonight I think was a nice little step.

I'm really not a fan of this kid...we need to find a trade partner before the deadline. He just doesn't fit on this roster. He ain't a PG...he just can't playmake for anybody since he telegraphs every pass. Plus he looks so clunkity and robotic out there. All that weight lifting was probably a bad idea.

Lastly how the hell is this guy a better defender than Duhon? Makes no sense. I can see if Brown wants to develop youth or something, but then do it with DJO, not Morris.

It's not your fault Morris. You suck, nothing you can do about it. It's Brown's fault for playing you.

He is selfish. Holds the ball for as long as he can and doesn't know what to do with it.

The guy is still complete trash but had some moments tonight when he at most looked below average.

This is what I mean though - Duhon CAN play - but he just hasn't been in a situation where he can really be at his best for a couple of years. But the dude can play and make plays for others.

I didn't think he was all THAT bad...had a few mishaps but some nice plays too (alley oop to Dwight, 3 pointer in the corner). HOWEVER, when chris duhon came in, suddenly the ball was moving quicker, and we had some nice plays with him in the game. He had a nice pass underneath to Jamison, and looks like him and Meeks got some chemistry too. I hope as the season goes along, Duhon and Meeks get in the rotation. Darius Morris has a long way to go and we shouldn't be "experimenting" with him right now.

I mean it's hard to say how much he can play. I think what we saw tonight is just a product of being in the league a long time and playing against some awful competition.

But with that said, he out performed Morris in the same exact situation. He actually ran the offense and made the passes/plays he needed to. There's no excuse to play Morris over him. None at all.

I'm just gonna put this out there RE: Darius Morris. I think you guys are being harsh on a second-round pick, who is clearly not a prototypical PG and has had little chance so far in his career to show much.

I'm not afraid to be wrong ok and I think Morris has potential and is energetic and can get to the rim on his own - which is a very valuable skill/asset for a PG. He also has speed and can shoot the ball a little.

So, really, I'm just happy to see if he can develop a bit, especially with Nash around him.
