I sincerely disagree with that assessment.

he didn't do half bad on Parker and got into foul trouble with a bs call. hope he keeps it up on Westbrook and Martin and make them shoot contested jumpers and get back on D on the right guy to eliminate mismatches

played well was great on defense and played hard. made mistakes obviously but his good defense and some good offensive decisions out weigh the bad. good game

You know what I've been bashing this kid all over the place (and mostly deservedly so) but he played well today.

I think it helps a LOT when he's the most athletic person on the floor. Someone like Westbrook wouldn't be bothered by him, but his energy really wore Parker into the ground. Great job by Morris there and offensively he made good decisions.

If he could make a jumpshot, or really any shot, he'd be a good asset as a 3rd stringer.

His defense needs to be commended today on both De Colo and Parker

Yeah. His D was good, and he did make a couple of good reads that led to 3s (jamison and meeks I believe) in a stretch where everyone was struggling to score
But you described him perfectly, he's not even a good 3rd stringer.

played alright, but whenever he shot the ball he was awful, would rather have Glock in there despite the real nice D from Morris today

As long as he doesn't try to score, I like what he brought out there. His D was great. Didn't give up a step on Parker or DC. His most effective move on offense was his drive and kick -- that's a dangerous play though cause the jump pass can result in a TO very easily.

I was thinking the same thing.

He's not very good...but he gives GREAT effort on DEFENSE...and it makes me so mad to think that we could have given him at least 5-10 minutes a game and given Kobe some rest....I know he's bad, but he would at least give effort and energy on DEFENSE...u know, an area we need the most HELP in?!

yea he's not very good and some of the comments here that oh he "trys" sounds pretty much Meeks like...try hard but doesn't do much production wise. Props though at least whoever he was guarding wasnt killing him.

Finally,proof that we can survive with Morris playing D and only D. No one can tell me that Morris couldn't have helped our starters rest with 5-10 minutes a night. Heck we really didn't need proof at all. People here forget that although Morris is garbage on offense, he IS our most athletic 1 on the team and played much better D than Nash or Duhon.

If Morris can do this, so can Ebanks. Ebanks HAS done it before, play good defense. I might add, Ebanks IS our most athletic natural 3.

Oh well, a little too late now..........

he played a pretty average game for a backup swingman. which is honestly more than i thought he could do. so props i guess

Well, he's not gonna stop Lin, but he might be somewhat effective, that's what I was thinking, at least 1 on 1.
