Devin Ebanks Earning PT (Pine time...)

You could build a legit bench mob with minimum contracts and the mini-MLE and nothing else.....

CJ Watson / Barbosa / Delonte / Nate Rob / Martin / Pietrus / Blatche....

Or think of this way for 1 Steve Blake (4 million) you can have 4 of the above players for the same price. :man11:

both Phil and Brown aren't great examples of unability to crack the rotation (Phil - refuses to play young players, Mike - well he played him in the beginning of the season last year and looked solid, then for some reason his minutes diminished)

I think that with proper coaching and stability (just 10 minutes every night) he can turn out to be mini-ariza ... but playing him 2 minutes one night and 12 the next isn't gonna do it IMO

^^^^ true but when you are good enough , you find a way to crack the rotation and stay in it regardless of the circumstances... Ebanks is just not a 8th-9th player caliber on a championship roster contender..

As an organization , we're wasting too much time and excuses on the Ebanks and Morris of this world ... these players aren't going to help you winning a title now

problem is we don't have better players than that ... at this point Ebanks has similar jumper as Ron has ... MWP plays on his reputation mostly (at this point) ... Morris has good D but he is horrible on the O ...

you gotta play with what you have but you gotta give him a chance to prove you're bad or good ... All I am saying is that Ebanks didn't get a lot of chance under Phil or Brown and those few chances he got are really nothing for a young players (especially late draft picks)

I think Ebanks can do really good under MDA ... Morris not so much ... he will get exposed as a terrible distributor and passer

Ebanks has developed into a servicable player. He needs to be consistent, though. He's long, athletic, and has a developed a decent mid-range game even stretching it out to the three point line in the preseason. Devin's defense is also adequate.

idk where he's at now but I want him to play backup 3 with DAntoni. He's got some skills and is good on D. I think under this system we need some young guys who can play and defend and he can. instant offense off the bench and he's been extending his range. he's no 3 point shooter but he can hit it. I would like to see him get some burn with mike and would be good on D with that unit

ebanks looks like hes made progress vs last year, and ironically, the one of few guys that can run on this team won't even be in the rotation.

Looks like Ebanks drank himself out of the rotation.

Seriously now, I don't think he'll play until this is resolved. Hopefully he is going to learn the lesson.

No he's out. I saw him on the bench towards the end of the game.

Alright, we'll see how this develops. Maybe he's going to be traded in a package with Blake for someone... :man1:

Although MDA loves Blake and can't wait for him to come back, so that's where my theory fails.

He is really in the poopoohouse! He didn't get a second of PT in a blowout. While the token Gonzaga player got some burn.

If Brown were your coach you'd be out drowning your sorrows too. Ebanks should get a shot with D'Antoni. A DUI is stupid but it doesn't make him uncoachable or a bad locker room guy.

Not against bringing up CDR just based on ability.

Barnes just put up 14/9 tonight. I still don't know why we didn't re-up him for the minimum. He's probably better than any bench player we have not named Jordan Hill.

I have no idea why we have Ebanks as opposed to Barnes either.
