Lol, I was browsing a forum for "those guys" and someone started a thread, "Who would you root for if the Heat and Lakers meet in the finals?"

Most of them hate us over bron bron. They don't want to see us tie them in championships. Those guys are living in the past and most likely, none of then were around for most of their championships. The got one in 2008 and a handful in the 80's.

The Lakers have been the premier sports franchise for the past 30 plus years. 10 titles and 16 appearances in 32 years. After the Lakers pass them the next two years, there will be no looking back. I expect the Lakers to lead them by at least 4 or 5 by 2025. :man12:

Presti, you jack-***!!

Okay, so Harden pulls an Uncle Jeff. It's not the end of the world.
For starters, we can extend Maynor.

I honestly did not see it coming..They're looking at the long term with that move I guess. Kevin Martin is a baller don't get me wrong but he's no James Harden...

Harden's a very good player, but I think the Rockets overpaid a tad for him. Both Martin and Lamb are solid pieces that should help OKC.

This works out for us because no way Martin gives the OKC what Harden provided. Plus isn't Martin always injured?

^ Yes and yes.

Martin is a nice player, but he's not Harden. Harden was young and athletic. Martin is a little older and a lot less athletic. I don't have the numbers, but I think Harden was a better distributor as well. Martin is a nice player, but not Harden.

And as for Lamb, well there's only room for one backup SG, right?

Martin is a still a starting caliber 2, and if they put him on the second unit, he will make up for a lot of the scoring punch they lose with Harden leaving.

Martin in similar minutes put up less rebounds, less assists, a worse to/ast ratio, less steals, and less blocks. He scored more, but he did it much less efficiently.

Not to mention in 8 years he's had only 2 where he's played 80 games. He's slower, he's less explosive, his court vision is worse, and he certainly doesn't have anything near Harden's athleticism and finishing capability.

They're going to miss him big time.

OKC tears will be delicious! :man9:
I was seriously expecting OKC to keep harden and try to make another run,
but this shows it's all about the moolah.
Martin is a good scorer, yes but he isn't James Harden, and Jeremy Lamb is an
unproven young guard who will take a few years to develop, i expect OKC to regress this year.
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

Harden took it to the rim at will...something like 40% of his shots came from inside the paint last year.
Harden played like the 2nd units point guard...dude had great control of the ball and the offense.
Harden played effective defense...alot of the times last year, Harden was on Kobe.
Harden is durable, more athletic and scores much more efficiently.

That is what Harden brought for the Thunder and Martin simply cannot bring that to OKC in this trade.

F*** you Cuban. Our franchise will always make yours look like complete s***. Go back to business, that's what you're good at. Dr. Buss makes you look like a fool in the NBA.

I loved the way Hawks played last night. Due their "starlessness", their win felt like a tribute to collective basketball. I frankly hope OKC dismantles, Mavericks way...
