Not much Hawks DOOM out there, but here's what i was able to scrounge up...most of it was about Bean:

Pre-Game:

Run 'em out of the building.
Side note: Kobe Bryant is so annoying in such a unique fashion.

Sup everyone.
I’m a Suns fan, cheering for the Hawks tonight. Beat LA!

can we please just beat the lakers

Gametime:

Have we not watched any Lakers games this year?
We are avoiding the paint like Dwight is still good or something

That's somewhat overblown

The Hawks reverting back to pre 2011 mode against Dwight.
LOL!

Well like we thought, this is not a good matchup for Hawks

The Lakers generally let every team back into the game, so that's good
Especially when Kobe starts going ISO joe on everybody

Laker's are my in-market team
I’ve watched all their games. They get very stagnant, they run out of gas, Kobe tries to do too much, and you can run them out of the gym. Oh, and their bench sucks balls

Kobe is such a worthless ball hog anymore
His mouth is 30 times greater than his game

Are the Lakers the most annoying under .500 team of all time or what?

They have the most annoying fans of an under .500 team

When's the last time we won in LAL

Dwight has no business doing this to us
He doesn’t do it to anyone else in the league

Jamison and Blake were fighting each other for the right to guard Tolliver

Is this a Lakers crowd. They're never this hype

They know their time to cheer for the Lakers is running out

Down to another non playoff team

I think Nash is too great a player
Even at this advanced age. If you are not playing solid fundamentals, he will pick you apart, and to me Teague has been taken advantage of on defense, and has let that get to his head on offense.

We can’t lose this game, just can’t

Josh, you know what? Screw you.

Lakers announcers making Josh-Dwight friendship related free throw jokes

It is looking tougher and tougher. Not getting easy shots and they seem to either get rebounds, or let Kobe do his thing

Why in the hell are we playing to their snail-pace?
The Lakers look like they’re in slow motion even on the break.

Because we’re stupid

I find it funny people are down on Howard
But I wonder if Lakers fans think Howard for Bynum was a fair deal or not, now that Bynum can’t even get on the court

Well, i might be turning this one off early if this keeps up.

Uhoh, Kobe has "that look"

I hope the Hawks win so I dont have to hear the Lakers are at .500 all day on SC and First Take

Kobe.

Hate that guy

Wow......just wow

Kobe is GREAT. wow

That s*** ain't s'pose ta work.

I would pay all the money I have to just deck Kobe once.

why?
He just plays great man. Tip your hat and move on

I dislike Kobe but have so much respect for him

Same here

Kobe: Too good to like, too good to hate

Burn in hell, Ron Artest

Ron Artest arrives in Hell
Bouncers say, “Sorry man, you’ll have to wait outside.”

IDC what Laker's record is, it'd feel mighty good to get outta here with the W

Josh just got posterized.

Dang Kobe dang. Wow how can he do this still at 34

Even if we score, there'd still be quite a bit of time for Kobe.

Kobe F. Bryant

Just retire already, Kobe.

get a girl to claim he raped her
then he’ll spend the rest of his days in prison

I have a sinking feeling this game is going to end with Josh airballing a three, now.

Hate Kobe

what a bleeping joke :(

Do people in Atlanta even care about the Hawks? I think they're more focused on the falcons.

"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.

One more win please lakers. We can catchup up to 6th position

Not tonight

Hawks will win if they control the pace and play up tempo. Run the court.

Hawks playing like garbage right now Image

Kobe just had a jumper blocked by Kyle Korver...shouldn't ISH go into meltdown/freakout mode?

Tolliver is such a bad player.

Lakers are raping Image

This quarter is great example of why Dwight can't be your first option......he simply isn't a good offensive player.

Chuck away, Kobe.....chuck away.

Kobe looks like he is 29 again out there....remarkable.

Teague is looking terrible. When is bad he is really bad.

Down to another non playoff team, so frustrating

Dwight is legit setting picks with his [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]......

Josh Smith has nearly as low of BBIQ as JR Smith. Both could be so good if they weren't such retards.

0-6 at the line is pretty hilarious too.

Does Smith have the lowest ball IQ in the league?

That's why you're not gettin a max contract smith. Image

Josh Smith's perimeter defense on Kobe is actually pretty good...

And then...

OH MY GOD Image

Kobe Image

Josh Smith is like the worst clutch time player ever

Somewhere, 9erempire, KennethGriffin, Yao Ming's Foot, and Mr. Jabbar are orgasming.

How is that a foul?

LOL @ refs.

Was that not a foul on Howard? He clobbered Teague.

Hawks defense is a joke

Wow awful defense.
Still nice finish by Kobe though

Why did Josh Smith just stand there until the very last second?

Hawks have 0 help defence. Kobe was gonna take it to the rim with Al on him.

LOL Josh Smith is a clown

Larry Drew might be worse than Vinny when it comes to drawing up plays out of time-outs Image

So fitting that it ends on a boneheaded play by J-Smoove, I'm ready to see somebody else overpay his dumb [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]

The Hawks biggest accomplishment of this road trip?

Beating that [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] Utah team.

I can't handle this. I just can't... go on anymore like this.

Technically, the Lakers are only 1 game behind the Warriors because the Lakers will take them the 2 times they meet. And the Lakers own the tie-breaker.

I had to take a chill-pill. Watching the Lakers win like that was very bad for my health. I'm anxious and my body is trembling, hands are shaking. I can't chill. I'm not okay.

He then says...

Kobe shouldn't and can't play like he has, dunking like he has. It's not happening.

Either it's all an illusion or he's on steroids.

I might have an anxiety attack.

Second to last quote is great.

Also, it's funny how when Kobe sucks he's washed up but when he plays great apparently he's on PEDs.

Pre-Game

Earl Clark was once thought of as a throw-in from the D12 trade but is now a crucial starter for a Lakers frontcourt depleted by the absence of Pau Gasol (plantar fascia tear) for a few more weeks and the loss of Jordan Hill (hip) for the season. Clark will draw dominating Dominican Al Horford, who has been en fuego of late. Nailing his second three-pointer at the conclusion of Friday night's listless 92-87 loss to Phoenix gave Horford 20 points for the eighth straight game. His seven rebounds against the Suns were the lowest in that string.

Josh Smith will need to play in the paint [/brokenrecord] against Metta World Peace, making the latter a post defender and hacker instead of a perimeter stopper. Smith planting himself outside the paint and shooting like he did against Phoenix (0-for-5 on threes) frees up MWP to shift to the Hawks' legitimate shooting threats, plug Jeff Teague's dribble-drives, or pick off passes to the interior. Antawn Jamison's "ole!" defense poses no problems for Smoove in the paint, either. Smith forcing his pal Howard to help on defense will free up Al for numerous mid-range jumpers and layups.

Teague will have free reign to challenge Dwight at the basket with Steve Nash at his heels. Look for the Lakers to relieve Nash with a more physically imposing Steve Blake, in lieu of Chris Duhon.

Did I forget anybody? Oh yeah, El Mamba Negro. Kobe Bean Bryant (35.0 PPG in his last 4 games) has had no problems finding his shots (career-high 47.2 FG%; 1.7 3FGAs, most in last 4 seasons), and improved his passing in the absence of Nash earlier in the season.

Kobe has been occasionally lax on the defensive end, so Kyle Korver, John Jenkins and DeShawn Stevenson will look to keep him active defensively. Look for a mix of Dahntay Jones, Stevenson (starting), Anthony Tolliver, and Smith to try and up Kobe's degree of difficulty on offense. Coach Larry Drew will be rotating a lot to minimize foul trouble against a team that, thanks to Kobe and Dwight, draw the second-most fouls per game in the NBA.

The good news for Atlanta is, while the Lakers get to the line a ton (27.4 FT attempts per game, 1st in the league), they struggle to make the shots when they get there (68.9 FT%, last in NBA). Securing those missed second shots will allow some run-and-gun opportunities for the Hawks.

Go Hawks! Vamos Halcones!

~lw3

GO HAWKS!!

Let's get back on the winning side!!

Gametime

Oh for six josh from line

Larry Drew getting killed tonight so far. Lakers an old slow team that gets murdered in transition. See their loss to Denver last week where Denver ran it down their throats and made 3s in transition. So what did LD do? Made sure we had a slow Center that is not an offensive threat out there eliminating our ability to run and shoot. Al's range would help pull Dwight out of the paint I would think too.

I'm not an LD hater just feel like he made some bad matchup choices tonight. At least so far. Still in 3rd.

Harris was hot and they took him out???!!!

if we lose, we lost on all the missed freebies

And the calls they give in Bryant's favor

That was sickening.

You can never rely on Josh to score.. NEVER.

How the heck Josh blew that possession. Man he is just blows my mind sometimes. Like seriously. Just run plays for Horford from now on. Grief that was a freaking win and we let it go

Man that was a tough loss! LD is the mother f'n man when it comes to drawing up plays!! I'm not blaming that last one on Josh as after looking at it a few times the pass was a little hot coming in and by the time he caught it I believe he's already past the rim. Maybe he could have flushed it, but I'm not sure. That easy miss by Horf in the final 2 minutes at the rim really hurt and while Josh has certainly improved as a perimeter defender, he cannot guard Kobe 1-on-1 out there. How it must feel for the Lakers to beat the Hawks and have the atmosphere like they just won the championship.

Sucks

How was that travel not called on Kobe? Then add a terrible foul call in the critical spot? Ugh.

old fashion atlanta choke job.

Have to agree that all of the missed FT's are the reason we lost this game...

I feel no better about this team than I did that team.

They turned the ball over 21 times.... The Hawks out assisted and out shot them and had about 8 turnovers less and still lost.

If you guys want to read some real good doom or if you're in the mood to lower your IQ , head on over to Realgm... There's a 10 page thread over there accusing Kobe of using PEDs for being able to perform at his age.

I would do it myself but I'm on my phone and it's a pain in the rear to copy and paste.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to find out that Kobe is on PEDs.

He's 34 years old for goodness sake. And just 2 years ago he didn't look anything like this physically. The most logical answer is PEDs. I'm not saying I think he is, just saying I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Well to be fair he was injured 2 years ago and was basically playing on one leg. Is it really out of the norm for him to come back the way he did after having some time to recover plus the innovative treatments he got on his knee and ankle?

Also, a lot of people are acting like he's 40 or something. The man is 34. It really isn't unprecedented that someone who takes care of their body the way Kobe does is able to have long careers. Kareem, Malone, Stockton, Kevin Willis are some examples and I'm sure I'm missing more.

But I agree with with you. I wouldn't be surprised if many players were using PEDs since the league drug testing policy is a joke.

Not trying to stir the pot, but looking back at MJ's career, he was doing pretty similar things at 33-34. Yes, he played 4 years of college, but Kobe didn't really become Kobe until 98.

MJ did play some Triple A, may have got some PED's there to come back, kind of like how Kobe went to Germany. :man10:

People have stooped this low to avoid giving Kobe props as a great player and are now accusing him of using some kind of enhancers? How about this man has one of the strictest diets out there and some hardcore dedication to taking care of his body. Ask Steve Nash and Grant Hill who are the same about their fitness so they can remain healthy and eligible to play basketball.

I'm disturbed, once they start accusing LeBron, and Dwayne Wade as well then we have a argument, other than that it's just pure hatred and anger because he's playing so well at this age and people wanted him to fall off.

How about he's proving that he "IS" that player people hoped that he wouldn't be, which is a great, unique once in a generation player. Now it's bothering people to the point they have to come up with anything to diminish him instead of just saying "Look I was wrong, he is what he thought he was"

Also Andrew Bynum went and had the same knee procedure, look at him look at Kobe "CASE CLOSED".

I sincerely doubt Kobe is juicing in any traditional sense. He may be doing new therapies that aren't YET banned, but he's way too conscious of legacy to risk that embarassment
