Big ups Dwight. I wouldn't want the leader of the high school gossip group leading my team.

This is two times now that D12 has had a chance to say something to Kobe and backed down.

Props to whoever that teammate was.. But what a joke of a season

And Pau at center? He has been on the decline for awhile now so i'd pass on that as well.

That doesn't sound very realistic.

If he has a torn labrum or whatever and is out for season, we are screwed. Can't trade him and he is long gone.

I'm beginning to wonder if Dwight can handle the pressure of being the center for the Los Angeles Lakers. Wilt, Kareem, Shaq. Those are some pretty mean shoes to fill with the spotlight on you all the time. Can he handle it? Time to man up if he want's to be the $100 million dollar man AND leave a legacy.

Personally, I think we should trade him this season, Pau at the beginning of next year. At this point, does Nash even continue on past this season or does he hang it up and go work for the Sun's front office?

I mean seriously, who in their right mind thinks

1. Dwight wants to be here
2. Dwight is going to stay here
3. We make a playoff run?

This is supposed to be a championship roster. It ain't happening guys. I really truly hope I'm wrong about everything, but I doubt I'm wrong.

:man3:
Why couldn't you trade him?..... If he wants to leave it will be the same destination he's wanted for a while now.... they can't sign him for anything but peanuts so in the remote chance that happened it will be by trade regardless of the shoulder injury.

Hell, Bynum hasn't played all year and he'll get close to a 100M before next year from someone.....

Probably not....he's about to get a drastic pay decrease this summer unless he can find a team whose medical staff knows nothing about knees. he's got his own problems.

I'm sick of these reports surfacing about Dwight. We need to trade him before the trade deadline. At this point, I don't want him to even re-sign; let's see what we can get for him and be done with him, please...

I sooo bet that teammate was Ron. Lmao.

Honestly I'm done with Dwight's antics. KLove + Pek + Barea or Brooks for Dwight + Jamison + Duhon would be an absolute dream at this point. Let Pau finish out the season next to Pek & then deal him as an expiring next year when his value is at it's peak. We could make the playoffs still with Pau/Pek + the upgrade at backup G.

Actually, I got this name because I seen someone with a name on LakersGround as KobeBryantsdad, so when I signed up here it was the first thing I thought of at the moment. Nevertheless, if I do PM them for a name change that means we have gotten rid of him. I just don't think we can build around him for the next 5 years but that's another story.

It really was. His post game flat out sucks. I've said that for a long time, too, not just this year. It's been cringeworthy for most of this season. He gets stripped on like half his attempts, too.

He's nothing more than a super athletic Kwame when you think about it .. His post game is horrid .. Can't seal or get position .. He's a great defensive player but he'll never be considered one of the greats when it comes to centers .. His ceiling when you think about potential greatness is Alonzo Mourning .. That's pretty sad when you consider he's an athletic freak and the center position is obsolete

Sadly, that scar is nothing compared to the one that's going to be left on both kobe's and howard's resume if the season continues on its current path. Many nba careers have been cut short by injuries; however, not many players can claim they've been on teams that miss the playoffs w/ 4 HOF's.

When the best center+best shooting guard+a HOF pg and pf= lottery team, the disaster is so unprecedented that it's going to leave a mark regardless of what laker fans think. For kobe, it won't remove the fact he's a first ballot HOF, but it's going to sting many fans when critics/haters use it as ammunition in the inevitable kobe vs. peers debate (lebron fans are going to abuse it mercilessly).

For Howard, it's self-explanatory since he hasn't won a ring yet.

2009- made the finals with Orlando.
2010- loss to the Celtics in the ECF.
2011- loss in the first round to Atlanta despite being both the higher seed and sweeping them last season.
2012- didn't even play in the first round.
2013- on track to be on the 6th lakers team that misses the playoffs.

Notice a pattern? At this rate, we will be flip flopping alright: when commisioner Silver announces that with the first pick of the 2014 NBA draft, the los angeles lakers select ANDREW WIGGINS from the University of ______ and he carries the lakers for the next decade to a level Howard can only dream, especially with Howard's so called "post game". :man10: :man1:

I think the criticism is fair. But it wouldn't be fair to allow one season to tarnish an entire legacy, that's ridiculous. But for this to be a stain on Kobe's legacy, ok, it's fair.

It might be enough of a stain to say maybe he isn't the greatest SG of all-time because of it, but there are plenty of other reasons why Kobe might not be the undisputed #1 anyway. But it sure as hell isn't enough of a stain to remove him from claiming #2 SG of all time either.
