if they get Josh Smith they wont have cap to room for Howard.

They have to give something up to get Josh Smith, ATL isn't just going to hand him over.. If they wanted pure cap space, they could just let him walk. Say they trade Asik + pieces for Smith. They can max both Smith & Dwight out in the offseason.

Can we order this D12 for the rest of the season?

does he average one offensive foul a game or something? he needs to learn to create that space with his body.
Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA
RT @kevinding: I asked Dwight about his role in Lakers offense. "We have years to play with each other, so it's a learning process."

Big-time Nash words about Howard: "We talked coming out of the All-Star break that he and I have really got ...
to find a way to be a tandem. He has to find ways to free me up, and therefore I am going to find ways to free him up -- and really become a team and a tandem together, put a lot of pressure on the defense and make the game easier for our teammates. We are going to work at it. It is still a work in progress, but the last two games before the break he really committed to running pick and rolls, setting good screens, rolling hard.
"And I think tonight you either saw me free for jump shots or him going down the paint for fouls or finishes. It has to be a big part of our offense."

Here is Dwight's full answer about having "years" to play with Lakers, with my question about whether a balance ...
can be found between the pick-and-roll game and the post touches Dwight wants or needs:
"It can be. It's just something that we all have to work on. Guys have to have more trust in what I can provide on the post. And I just have to get more comfortable down there playing out the post.
"It's really the first year that I really haven't had an opportunity to really get as comfortable as I want to on the box -- to where I can really read the defense, read my man, make moves and play off of it, sort of like how I did in Orlando.
"But there's still time for improvement. We have years to play with each other, so it's a learning process."

GoldenKnight wrote:Yesterday I saw Nash be freed off a hard screen from Howard more than at any other point in the season. Had great looks & was knocking them down. Howard also did a great job attacking after getting the ball when Nash decided to pass.
