does he average one offensive foul a game or something? he needs to learn to create that space with his body.

He doesn't have the butt and mass other bigs have down low. Still, I watch this guy and think....hmmm he's abusing people with that right arm side of his body, elbows, whatever, but hopes they don't "target" his right arm and shoulder to deliberately hurt it. After he tells them how much it hurts. Doesn't seem like a good plan. :what:

Whoa!!!! That actually came flying out of his mouth? Freaking Mitch the wordsmith and "closer" yesterday with his "We're committed to Dwight and NOT trading him" conversations with Dwight and public big vote of confidence to potentially turn this guy around into a real Laker. I really do..... I want to believe.....

^^ It really is great to hear/see this. I liked Dwight's comments that realdeal posted yesterday as well. Between Mitch's words of confidence in and support of Dwight and his continued career as a Laker, and Dwight's own comments and display of commitment on the court against the hated ones, I feel much better about D12 remaining with us for the next bunch of years. I think it could work out.

After Dr. Buss' Memorial, I reaallly hope Dwight appreciates and values the opportunity he has playing for this franchise.

I have a feeling Kobe's request to look around the room and appreciate the LEGACY, was primarily directed at Dwight.

Last night's performance against Boston was a good start. Now let's hope Howard carries that on from here on out.

Dwight is at his best when he's setting picks. Even when he does score on a postup, he's more likely to find better postup position when he sets a pick first and forces the defense to scramble. Many of his successful postup opportunities last night came from setting the pick first as opposed to just sitting in the lane with the defense set.

i never thought dwight was bad guy or lazy, but maybe that he hasn't put it all together in his head.

1) you can't blame him for wanting to be the man. kobe went through the same thing when shaq was here.

2) dwight is a guy that needs to be nurtured. he does better with the carrot, not the stick.

3) i think he's had a hard time adjusting, new city, new playing style, playing with injury. of course he's going to be slightly frustrated

4) i think he understands the laker history. which is partially why he met with kareem months ago. unfortunately, it didn't fully set in until the passing of dr. buss. not sure if he still gets it, but i think it's sinking in.

All he had to do was check twitter.. You have guys from all around the league paying respects & thanking Dr. Buss for all he did for the league.. You can't go to any other team & be a part of something this special. If you want basketball immortality, there's 1 choice that stands out above the rest.

i've been very critical of dwight in general so far, and up to this point i think he wasn't really sure about buying into the laker's culture

but, i think (very optimistically) based on dr. buss' passing (RIP) and the heavy criticism he's been receiving, dwight has realized what it takes to truly be a laker. he seems ready to give it his all now. admittedly this is based on some quotes & one very good performance, but still. i'm really positive going forward that dwight has perhaps turned a corner
