One game and Dwight Howard is an average Center who's going to leave LA for Dallas? Really?

For what stating a fact?

The only other fan base that comes close is the Cowboys fan base, but at least they have a reason to be whiny since they've been crucified for 15 + years of mediocrity. Lakers fans have no reason to be whiny. They have seen 16 championships, five in the last 12 years, and this past offseason they had one of the best off seasons in recent memory. Acquiring one superstar is pretty hard, but to get two is just unreal. Yet after one damn game and loss people are already b******.

Who wouldn't be b****ing after getting trounced by guys like Beaubois and Jae Crowder?

Back to Dwight topic, that was not a flagrant. He didn't even hit his head, AND he made a play on the ball, and he even HIT the ball. Yet, it's a flagrant? :freak2:

Then that last foul wasn't even a foul AT ALL. AT ALL. If that's not obvious Laker hate or just plain stupidity, I don't know what to tell ya.

That was a flagrant foul, it was unnecessary to do something like that. What Wade did to Kobe during the AllStar game was pretty similar to this foul, and a lot of us wanted Wade ejected for that.

You make it seem like those guys are scrubs. They're not. They're good basketball players and even without Dirk the Mavs have a very deep team. Beyond that it's just one freaking game. Some of you act like we lost a playoff game.

It was a flagrant and it was intended to be. But Wade broke Kobe's nose in an All-Star game... kinda different.

That foul was flagrant because he was trying to send a message. Unfortunately that message went totally unheeded.

I agree, give it more time people. And i'm not talking until tonight. Give it a few weeks, n we'll be winning games we should, give it a few months, and we'll be dominating the league. Just be patient. We need to stick together. There are haters everywhere I turn, youtube comments, epsn game boards, etc. We have to remain patient and together. It may be a rough start, but it'll definitely be worth it.

The outcome was different, but the way it was done was very similar. However, like you said the action being done intentionally to send a message was the main reason why it was called a flagrant.

if he's involved in Nash pnr he'd prob get more dunks and less trips to the line and guys will move out of his way instead of swarming him in the paint and fouling him as he goes up.

Great first half from Dwight. If he can keep it up in the 2nd half, and Nash comes back okay, we should win the game.

Dwight's looking great. Timing is still off on D, but that will come back with more PT.

Great game from Dwight tonight. I don't expect 15-19 from the FT line every night, but as long as it's more than 50% he should be fine.

Offensively Dwight didn't look rusty at all, and he shot really well from the line. Sure his defensive timing isn't quite there yet, but given time it should improve.

Big improvement from his first game he looks much more mobile and confident. His vert will restore when he's in better shape. Mike Brown is such a buzz kill though.

Dwights first good game as a laker. It's clear that when he's actually 100%, which he's not anywhere near he's gonna do this every night. teams can't double him so he just blows by everyone. but right now he's out of shape. it's much more apparent defensively because he's giving up layup after layup. rebound after rebound. but when he's right

which i'm assuming he will be, he's gonna single handedly win games for us. this guy looks like 70% of the player he usually is and he's putting up 33 points. he's never had it this easy before. in orlando he would have been swarmed and in his current physical state struggled.

i hope it doesn't take too long. i'm sure we'll see minor improvements here and there. you see flashes but the lift isn't there yet. don't know how long it'll take, and part of me thinks we won't see anything more than 90% dwight until next season when he has a full off season to lift and train

the touch isn't rusty, but his movement is. no lift, and his speed is just not there. one of our coaches (former orlando coach) don't remember his name said dwight is like 2 steps slow right now. not even a step. so he's got a ways to go

but 33 points while being 2 steps slow. :man4:

Howard was great on the offensive end..... complete opposite from the free throw line.... still lost at times on defense however.

The one thing that is puzzling watching him on the defensive end is that he never has his hands up..... that combined with not blocking out had several rebound go straight over his head. I've watched a lot of his games in the past and don't remember see this consistently like the first two games..... Hopefully it's just being out of shape...
