Dwight Discussion: Dwightmare on Figueroa St. Part Boo

He needs to stop getting stripped. It's at a ridiculous level now. It's not about holding on to the ball harder. It's about positioning and where he keeps the ball when he gathers himself as he goes up. Fundamentals.

And I also don't get why he needs to swat the ball into the 3rd row on those blocks. If he can get that much hand on the ball, grab it or block it but keep it in play. No use knocking it out of bounds.

Dwight is playing in his 9th season. He should know what he should be doing to avoid being stripped.

This guy can't even score one on one, WOW this is crazy, they are pulling Chuck Hayes all over Dwight, 5 TO tonight. He can score only on Dunk's or one hook shot per game. And 4r for 40 minutes something is wrong with Dwight.

Dwight needs to get back to working on his post moves. He seems to be doing the same move over and over again. Cap needs to come in and work with Dwight ASAP.

Alley hoop/put back seems to be the only offense he has right now. I'm not acting like I know for sure but he does not look happy, and this can very well turn into a 1 year rental.

Work on that offensive game, big fella.

Like Stu said he needs to work on moving side to side. He's able to seal and get decent post position but it becomes predictable after a while.

Oh no the trade was completely the right move. I loved Bynum but I am a Dwight supporter 100%, its just with this current team and staff, you can see he just isn't having a good time. I just don't want us to hold on to lets say a Gasol this season and continue to struggle and see him leave, as no one would want this to be a 1 year rental.

Yeah but if Dwight leaves because LA is such a crap place to play in, then you are left with nothing.

I liked his D when he was running with the 2nd unit. Totally looked more energetic and focused. For the most part though, pretty pathetic outing for him. That's twice in a row now. Ugh.

Yeah but if Dwight leaves because LA is such a crap place to play in, then you are left with nothing.

To play devil's advocate, you could also start the rebuild now (knowing Bynum's current condition) than come up short in the post season, having howard bolt, and starting the rebuild then. Also, Bynum might not get even half of the max if he sits out this season.

Well, I'll say this - D12 did have some nice passes out of the double to hit the shooters in the second unit. That was at least nice to see. That got us back in the game during the fourth.

Maybe. but dwight already worked with Ewing for years and worked with Hakeem for two summers i think. And i don't see he learn anything from them. All he can do is dunk. He depends on Kobe, Gasol and Nash to throw him the ball. Even if Dwight works with KAJ, i don't think he will be better than Bynum's offensive game. But i think Dwight will improve on offensive a little bit.

Two awful showings in a row by Dwight. We can't afford to have him play this terrible. Gotta get it going on the offensive side of the ball.

2 bad showings by both our bigs which are supposed to be our strong parts. playing like backups out there. getting out hustled, out rebounded, out played, its embarassing. Dwight Howard and Pau can do better than a combined 13 points??

Memphis is a good team but the Kings are not. idk what happened but i know for certain it was when Dantoni started that his happened. not saying hes to blame but something hes doing is negating our bigs. With Bernie they were just playing ball and getting everyone involved and our bigs where having great games. Dwight having monster games at 80%. hope something turns around quick bc this is pissing me off

Last year, I heard that Dwight was immune to poor showings because he brings it every night.

Hoping people realize that these poor outings (both by Bynum and Howard) are usually more an indictment of our guards.

4 rebounds for Dwight though? INEXCUSABLE. Not to start a Bynum/Howard thing, but as much flack as Bynum got last season for not "bringing it", I don't think he had a single game all season where he only had 1 defensive rebound.

he's just tired as is Pau too. they've both played a ton of minutes during this stretch of games over not many days. a lot of b2b's too. I think with more minutes given to Hill and Jamison it should lower Pays minutes to 29-30 and Dwight's to 33-34 IMO. that should help both stay fresh bc they both look beat...proof in their rebounding tonight.

That is no excuse. There is no excuse for Dwight getting 1 defensive rebound in over 39 minutes. Sorry.
