So if Dwight is playing does the speculation start that it might be because of Kobe's pushing? If that's the case do we thank Kobe now for being a "jerk" of a leader? :man10:

Depends if we get a win or not. You know us fans lol...

You see all the tough former players/old school players, old media guys that have been around since the days of tough NBA men all saying Kobe as a leader is allowed to tell Dwight if he can play he needs to play. You only see the younger people saying "that's not cool man, what about Dwight's feelings". Kobe knows what it takes to win, sacrifice, he needed finger surgery, didn't get it, he needed wrist surgery, didn't get it. He hurt his shoulder one season pretty bad, kept playing. he sprained his ankle in the Finals vs Indiana really bad, played the rest of the series. So he said what he said from experience, doesn't mean anyone has to like it, and I still don't think he was wrong.

I agree.

In 2010 half the team was hurt, especially Bynum with his bad knee but they all sucked it up and played through it and we became champs. There was nothing wrong with what Kobe said. The media is just trying to drum up controversy for ratings/page views.

I thought Dwight ASKED Kobe to push him when he was traded here?

I'm not quite sure Dwight knew just how tough Kobe could be. I'm pretty sure Team USA teammate Kobe and Lakers leader Kobe are a lot different.

No way Dwight stays. He simply can't handle the pressure. Time to ship his arse out.

Dwight to Sacramento for DeMarcus Cousins, Tyreke Evans, Francisco Garcia.

We get a very good big who could be great and two solid role players. Dwight gets to go some place where winning is a luxury, not an expectation. He can even be the face of a "new franchise" in Seattle.

Then next year we trade Pau's expiring for two-three more pieces. Complete overhaul in one year's time.

A lesson Dwight HAS to learn to become better than the player he is today.

Kobe' was in the same exact position that Dwight was in with Shaq.

I'm sure Shaq pushed Kobe to be better, although Kobe didn't like it. It has to translate on the floor and through maturity. It's not going to happen overnight, we may not see it this season. But it's these type of situations that can really define a growing player. Playing through adversity, knowing when to give your team that type of leadership whether it be playing through injury or just showing it on the court, it's something Dwight has to learn.

Picking up technicals, talking back with media, creating drama. Kobe's been there before. We've all seen it. Look we're the Mamba is now. It's all on the court.

This is Dwight's chance to learn, if he folds under Kobe's tough love, it'll show what kind of player he really is.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me. Passes thrown to Dwight now need to be at head level and he cant bring the ball down.

So you think dwight is mentally weak. OK. I can live with that. What I don't understand is why would you then trade him for the most unstable big man in the NBA?

Please explain.

Cousins!? That guy is 10 times worse than Bynum in terms of attitude! He just called a ref a "F'ing Female"

Props to Dwight for playing tonight, gets to finally play in the biggest championships sports rivalry of all time.

DeMarcus Cousins is a goon now, but name one leader on Sacramento. What player, coach, etc. can you name that has any kind of clout. Now put him in a championship organization with Kobe, Nash, MWP, etc. and I'm pretty certain he will get his head out of his arse. He's still a kid, and like a kid, you behave differently depending on who you hang out with. By the way, Cousins is probably talent wise the best big in the league.

Who'da thought that Pau is tougher than D12. Pau plays through plantas fasciitis. D12 takes games off cuz his shoulder is painful/hurts.
