Yeah but for who? Pau? I'd probably be happy with that, but we could do better if we're talking about what we can get for Dwight. Then again I might not be happy with that, we'd then have 2 players supposedly good on defense that really aren't that great at man defense, really mostly help d, an that have shaky offensive games.

Lol hell no for Dwight. I was thinking pau. I wouldn't touch smith for Dwight. Smith is a championship #3 at best, #4 at worst

I've said before the only players I listen to for Dwight, Aldridge and batum, Andre Drummond(though his injury issues scare me), and maybe a package surrounding Derrick favors and millsap though I don't think Utah takes that risk.

Otherwise I take my chances with Dwight resigning

I love Rondo's game and believe his is one of the few that really elevates his game when the bright lights are on...... however trading Howard for him would be a mistake unless we got a top 3 or 4 draft pick and another very good player IMO.

Rondo is a fantastic piece to have on an up-tempo team with talented scorers around him. He is one of the best point defenders around as well but he's not the kind of guy that is going to elevate his scoring to 17 or 18 points a game.

In the right situation he can be the most valuable point guard in the league but we don't have that situation nor are we close. He can make some average players very good..... our problem is that beyond a top 2 or 3 we don't even have "average players".

I'd trade Pau and "considerations" for him in a NY Minute but not Howard. If Howard is being traded we have to make that count with a player that can score at will.

LMA has had a drop off this season, but if we have to trade Dwight I wouldn't mind getting him back in return. Good defender and scorer, the only problem is that he's not good enough to lead the franchise going forward. Healthier Dwight can still be that guy if we retain him.

Said it before, if we're trading Dwight I'd love to get LMA and Batum back. We add Meeks and say a pick and try to get Wes Matthews back as well.

Pau and MWP for Rondo and Sullinger.

Celtics' lineup:
KG
Pau, Bass
MWP, Green
Pierce, Lee
Bradley, Terry

Pau could provide fire power the celtics needed. KG could focus more on defensive end and mid-range jumper. MWP could release Pierce for facing bigger SF like James, Anthony, Deng, George on defensive end and save more energy to carry team offense with Pau. He and Green play at SF would also allow Pierce to play against smaller players.

Lakers' lineup:
Dwight
Jamison, (Sullinger)
Clark
Kobe
Nash, Blake, (Rondo)

Lakers would give up this season. However, they will have Dwight-Rondo core for coming years. With Kobe to play at least 2-3 years and Nash being a good leader for 2nd unit, the Lakers' future are bright. Sullinger could be used to trade for a young SF

There's no way Boston is trading Rondo (healthy or not) for Pau. I just can't see that.

The only way they'd give us Rondo for Gasol would be
a) if they got Bledsoe, the PG of their dreams and
b) because then they get out of Rondo's long term deal so that they can give their attention to Bledsoe.

Rooscooter is right when he says Rondo elevates his game in the bright lights.

There is no point guard that is better than Rondo when it comes to Playoff time.
