Dwight Howard said he really feels good re: his back. "There's no pain." He's just trying to get in peak condition b4 game play.

A good plan, I think, is to play him on Sunday and Thursday. This gives him still a bit of time to get into shape, and allows him to get some rest between the preseason games and the regular season.

Sounds promising. Let's hope he can play soon.

He should come back when his back is not only 100% but a 110%. My upper back has been an issue for a month or so now and I can't even lay down on my bed without it hurting like hell. I think the worst injuries are back injuries.

Yep. Everyone was so adamant on him missing significant time this season even though every reputable medical source was saying he shouldn't have to miss much, if any, time.

I hope Dwight comes back in a week or so and just crushes a couple games in the pre-season. Just to put the league on notice. We're here. We're ready. And we're coming for that title.

Dwight said he would do that.

But then again, this is Dwight we're talking about. Who's been under the care or professional athletic trainers to get him back into shape, a lot of us don't have that luxury when we get injured so it takes so much longer to heal.

Usually, physical therapy ends when you're cleared to do normal activities. Dwight's getting attention around the clock and even beyond when he gets healthy.

Great news, hopefully he's able to play in at least one preseason game. He needs to be in good conditioning shape, because with Hill out we may need him even more.

It's nice to see Nash and Jamison draining threes.

Also, Dwight owns. He gets the ball under the basket -- it's an automatic dunk.

I wonder if we'll ever have to call Dwight out in the Gameday forum and say: "Dwight, dunk that ball... come on, what's with the soft layup!?"

I don't think Dwight even knows what a soft layup is. Maybe Pau will teach him. :man1:

I think he wants the fans' first impression of him to be of his true 100% self.. I don't think he wants people to explain "well he's not exactly peak form yet.. his legs are getting stronger", I think he wants to come out looking like the demi-god he's always been, wowing the crowd with a couple of thunderous dunks.
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.
