I'd be okay with a Deng/Noah package if the Bulls feel a foundation of Rose/Howard can put them at EC Elite status.

or something like Howard for Al Jefferon/Hayward/Foye.

Noah has the same foot problem for multiple years now and no to those Jazz players.

Would Howard accept a trade to GS?

a package of Thompson/David Lee/ fillers for Howard seems like a solid trade..

there are only two players i would trade dwight howard for that aren't superstars and both aren't possible.

one is andre drummond, the other is derrick favors. those are the only players that have the potential worth giving up the NBAs premier big man. drummond moreso than favors because well he's 19 and i would love to have a huskie on the lakers.

also he has loads of potential as well

Drummond is a good player and a possible star player however.... if he's gonna shoot something like 32% from the FT then that's atrocious.... Derrick Favors seems like a better Jordan Hill clone... NO THANKS.

thompson is a really good role player. a 3rd option at best on a championship team. that's his ceiling as far as i'm concerned. and lee is like 29.

there is no reason to trade howard unless you get a superstar back, or a young big man with loads of potential.

lamarcus aldridge is one of the few non superstars i'd consider, but i'd want batum back as well and the blazers wouldn't do that either considering dwight probably wouldn't resign there so why take the risk

Howard doesn't have a no trade clause as far as I know, he has to go wherever he's sent. The issue isn't that, the issue is finding a team wiling to trade good players in order to rent Howard for less than half a season. Only a team that thinks they can keep him would do that, namely Brooklyn, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston.

There is more to life than laker basketball and worrying about what Dwight Howard is going to do. "is he going to be healthy!!!!!" "is he going to leave!!!!" "dwight sucks!!!!!!" "trade him for average players!!!!"

If he's here next year, great he'll be healthy and better. If not then oh well, life moves on. But the panicking and bashing in the lakers fanbase right now is just ridiculous and is probably being displayed all over the Internet

Yes there is more to life.... but you are on a LAKER BASKETBALL forum. Discussions will be about the Lakers. The Dwight aspect is the biggest story we have going right now.

But thanks for the concern.

and of those teams only atlanta has players worth the lakers trading for. and i don't think dwight signs with anyone of those teams in the offseason other than maybe houston, and that's a maybe. i still think dan fegan and dwight gave the lakers some kind of indication and he's just not going to the media with it

again most of these aren't discussions, it's just panicking. discussions imply that they are at least somewhat rational, which isn't what is going on.

I think there's actually a great amount of discussion going on. Personally, I think I've beaten the whole scenario to death in my posts. Many others have as well. People suggesting trades is part of the dialogue.

Don't you think that if Dwight seems to be unhappy as he is that he is probably going to walk? Aside from what he wants, do you see Dwight as a legit franchise player or is it better to get some very good young talent that can blossom? I think these are what is being discussed.

What did you guys expect, a 20/20 game? We all knew he will give a half a** effort. Bad back, bad shoulder... done for the season. I would rather let him walk than trade him (unless for some serious expireing contracts).

chicago could have traded for howard in the offseason, or made an offer, howard didn't want to go there, for whatever reason or motivation he didn't want to go there.

there are 2 realistic options for dwight. stay in LA or go to Houston. that's it. however one involves leaving 30 million dollars on the table to go play with a maybe good enough james harden and a bunch of oks and not really goods. he's not giving up 30 million to play in a worse situation in dallas, and he's atlanta is probably just as bad a situation consider you either play with josh smith and horford and win nothing or the hawks rebuild but keep in mind, that's the hawks front office.

I still don't get why howard didn't want to play in chicago alongside, imo the most unstoppable pg in the league. They could have been a force! With their coach coaching that already ELITE defense, with howard added. woah. IDK what he was thinking...

I know a lot of people think he won't re-sign here but i honestly think he will. Not a whole lot of great options next season, this is the only team where it would be HIS team going forward. I also know a lot of people don't want him to re-sign, but at this point we really have no other option. Kobe is retiring after next season IMO whether or not Dwight is here, and Dwight is our best shot at luring other stars to play in LA. Without a clear cut star to lead the future, this franchise could be in a tough spot for many years. I honestly think he can come back next season and look like the Dwight that dominated in Orlando after a off season to properly rest and come back stronger. My 2 cents fwiw. :smoker:
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

Giving Dwight to OKC would be a nightmare, but if we could get a package starting with Ibaka, that'd be great for us. Maybe even Ibaka, Westbrook, Perkins. Ok I'm dreaming but that's what we need in a Dwight trade, a defender like Ibaka that can match Dwight's impact on that end. We could use a solid SF as well. The Noah/Deng idea is a good one. I'd actually prefer a David West/George or LMA/Batum over Noah/Deng.

What exactly would the Lakers get if somehow Howard was sent to Houston? there not getting Harden/Lin/Parsons, so what is the fascination with Houston? maybe the Clippers will send us Blodsoe/Griffin for Howard I would take it and run away fast before the Clippers change there mind if it was ever on the table.

Well, Dwight is not coming back for sure after Kobe's comments given Dwight's sensitive nature and dislike to play under such pressure. No way in hell. So now the best thing to do is to salvage this situation and trade Dwight for max value. That's all there is too it.

Thanks Kobe. :bang: :bang: :bang:

yea quite the slump since he can't even get off the bench, reason he did well last year was cause it was a bad team full of injuries and he got the green light to do whatever he wanted, btw scoring 12pts on 12 shoots isn't any sign of being "good". Samething with Gerald Green, dude put solid #'s of bench, look at him now in Indy. As for Lopez, F that, I rather Howard walk for NOTHING then be straddled with that contract, dude is so much younger than Pau but is already playing at current day Pau's speed that freakin embarrasing.
