^ Looks like he's wearing it with an extra "angle" or whatever you'd call it, just to be different or whatever. Looks awkward to me as well. I guess he liked wearing one on Sunday so he's giving it another go.

Dwight needs to choke the hell out of that ball. Too many TOs and that has nothing to do with getting his legs back.

He needs to hold on to the ball. He gets stripped so much, and even with his great rebounding numbers he lets a lot get away from him.

Damm Dwight, the whole Spurs team only had 8 turnovers in the game, you alone had 6, gotta be more careful on the ball.

All this is about not bringing the ball down and showing it to the defense ... it's fundamentals ( lack thereof) ... I remember he got stripped a lot by Fish, Kobe, Ariza and em during the 2009 Finals ... Drew was very good at keeping the ball high

we have to get him more involved in the way he plays too. back to basket everyone means turnovers for him as we've seen so far. can't wait til Nash is back. in the mean time we need to get him more lobs bc back to basket means to's

He looked good on D and had some nice buckets, but he has got to cut down on those turnovers, way too many.

he's def looking better every game. but he's got to limit those turnovers. 5-6 a game is too much

I agree with everyone that Dwight needs to limit the turnovers, but he also needs to more shot attempts. Just 9 field goal attempts for him tonight. That can't happen. Duncan is still a great player and defender, but he nor anyone in the league can really handle Dwight and his great strength and athleticism over the course of a ball game. Give him the ball and let him go to work. If teams double it'll lead to wide open looks for the shooters and if they don't he's gonna dominate them.

some of the strips were fouls so i really think he had like 3-4 turnovers which is still a lot. im being patient but weve gotta limit turnovers. cant let kobes unreal numbers go to waste

gotta get more touches too. 9 shots isnt enough for Dwight Howard. Take some of MWP's 14 shots. MWP should never have more shots than Dwight unless hes on fire (which he can be sometimes, just not tonight).

that is so predictable. I can imagine how his scouting report looks like. Drive baseline, or running hook shot. He need to change that, and put that ball higher in post, now every team will pull Chuck Hayes strip on Dwight, that is automatic turnover :mad1:

He needs to develop a face up 10 foot jumper. That would open up his drive to the basket.

This is definitely true, BUT. Dwight would have had more shot attempts if he didn't get stripped every time he made a post move with his back to the basket.

First of all, yea, that headband has got to go...I remember when Odom wore one a couple of games too & looked awkward as hell & he stopped wearing it.

2nd, Dwight needs to get some lessons from Jordan Hill & choke the hell out of that ball man, he get stripped so much it's comical.

Timing is getting there again slowly but surely, athleticism, you see flashes but definitely not there yet.

He also committed that very obvious & dumb foul after the MWP shot that cost us possession. He needs to stop making those dumb choices, but overall he is looking great & his pick n roll D was by far the best I have seen.

Sorry but Dwight didn't pick anithyng from here. There are so many great moves, and don't start me that BS that he is not 100% athleticism and things like that. You don't need athleticism to pull these moves.
Never saw Dwight doing that nice up and under move, even Enes freaking Kanter do that move this year.
Dwight seriously need to watch this video again step by step.

Honestly...how many big men can implement moves like that during a game? Not many...

We knew going in that Dwight had a pretty pedestrian post game...he's got that swing/kinda sky hook and he's got the dunk, that's about it. Drew spoiled us with his great hands and above average footwork.

Dwight has a ways to go in terms of technique and skill.

And he's more ineffective now because he's doesn't have his full athleticism to rely on. If he stays, the Lakers need to put significant resources into helping him build a credible post game because he was maybe 4-5 more years of that freakish athleticism left in him.

Those moves are great. Hakeem was using them a lot and he was very fun to watch. Amazing footwork in the post. Dwight can do those moves in practice, but in game...? He will just use his strength and quickness to bully his way under the basket and then he'll either try to dunk it, or shoot the lefty hook. He does have the agility to do more, but he never remembers to actually try some of these moves. Jab, spin, fadeaway, shooting off the glass? Yes please.

Although I can't say that he's not effective. He does score a lot, he rebounds, blocks shots and plays D. Maybe that's enough, I don't know. But if I was him, I would work on that post game some more and try out one or two moves every game.
