is there right now. i know i said it the moment we got him that he was our best player. and thats taking nothing away from kobe who's still a borderline top 5 guy and the best SG in the league.

any team that has kobe bryant as it's 2nd best player can do special things. but dwight needs to get right. and he said by midseason so that's what i'm expecting

actually that part would have been the easiest. with nutritionists they could have made sure his caloric intake was at maintenance level every day with the right amount of protein to maintain muscle.

Guys he's genetically superior to all of us, that's what the answer is. His metabolism works at such an insanely higher level than we can imagine and the food he consumes is just used in all of the right ways.

Once he was cleared to lift again, his muscles snapped right back into the mode they were in. He's going to get back to tip top shape sooner than we expect. The man is a physical marvel.

Honestly, how good is this guy if he's doing all of this without his timing and athleticism? Geeez

Ummm...you guys know he's Kryptonian, right?

^1) He's still strong. And he's about the same size or taller than the undersized bigs he's facing. So he's taking advantage of his size and length.

2) On top of that, the bigs he's facing are terrible defenders. They don't even dare him to shoot a jumper when he faces up. He hasn't faced Chandler, Perkins, or other bigs who will actually put some work on him.

3) His mobility is still very good in transition. He has very little if any mobility issues going north/south.

4) In addition to that, he has way better teammates than he had in Orlando who are setting him up for easy buckets.

I don't think so. He doesn't show signs of HGH use or steriods at all. Unlike Wade who's jaw line should be the poster child for PHDs.

You know you have a real beast on your team when a guy is putting up numbers like him and you can noticeably see that he has so much more left to improve on conditioning and timing wise.

Dwight can drop 30 without even trying it seems. I was wrong about this trade, as wrong as one can be. I thought his back would be a major issue and so far it isn't, with the exception of his conditioning, and even though is conditioning isn't there, he is still dominant. I can't wait to see how good he is mid season.

Howard is a machine, no two ways about it. Lakers are set for now and the future.

So much fun to watch Dwight play. We are so spoiled.

Pretty crazy to see him playing at this level when it's plain as day that he's extremely rusty.. All of those should-be dunks that he loses the handle on & lays in, all of the blocks he doesn't go for that he normally will, etc. Can't wait to see how amazing we look with him at 100% & guys figuring out the offense. We might not lose a game the 2nd half of the season.

Dude is just a beast. What a force this guy was tonight.

Also, I love the way he handles double/triple teams compared to Bynum. He reads the D and makes quick passes to the open man. Bynum was almost incapable of that...often running INTO the doubles, not willing to make quick passes (especially if he hadn't touched the ball in a while), panicked and overall just didn't seem to handle pressure well. He was a ball stopper and a complete black hole on offence. There was no flow to the offence whenever he posted up. Dwight plays within the offence and it really shows. The thing I like about Dwight is he finds the open man and makes nice, crisp passes that are often on target. What a difference something like that makes.
