That's a pretty good quote history showing what's really important to him. Talking off the cuff like that you know it's more real than the agent filtered stuff about "winning" we're hearing in the "decision" timeline.

I'm starting to write him off. Look for the D12 to Houston headlines. Lakers rebuff GS trade proposals since they don't include both Barnes and Thompson. Use the amnesty on MWP, sign some filler and hunker down for a long season of Kobe on the shelf that will likely result in a lottery pick next season. Then Kobe and Pau sign Duncan-like contracts or less, Nash retires, 2 max slots plus lotto pick and the Lakers are right back in it.
