Earl Clark Discussion: Second Wind?

I agree. I don't like Martin and when Howard comes back and minutes are limited, I don't know where he'd stand as a player, but if I'm Mitch and he called me, I'd say yes in an instant.

Try to trade Clark if you can, but if you can't no problem. A bench of Blake/Meeks/Ebanks/Jamison/Martin/Hill is VERY good, probably one of the best benches out there. The same cannot be said switching Clark and Martin.

Watched Clark in Orlando the past few years. Great kid. Real key player in Orlando being relevant in the playoffs last time around. Keep him if you want a great power forward back-up and defender; otherwise, trade for another perimeter player.

Is he better than K-mart? he doesn't have the experience, but he certainly has the defense.

not when you have a full roster at 15, which is what we'll have if we sign another player. He might come to camp with us, but won't make the team.

Sacre actually has a solid shot at the roster. He's a legit 7 footer, strong, and pushy. He's the perfect 3rd string Center and he'd basically be paid pennies. Is Martin better? Yes. But he's about 3 times the cost.

I've watched a little and read a little on him now..... nothing special and probably wouldn't be on 1/2 the roster in the league from what I can tell. If he can keep his mind in the game on a consistent basis he would be better than Ebanks probably... who knows.... I assume they will sort this out in camp.

C'mon man did Devin steal your tv or something? Clark is a really bad player, he's had more chances than Ebanks just due to years and even in those moments he's had to shine, he hasn't shown a whole lot more than Devin. I don't think Clark has any shot at all of doing anything over Devin.

its Odd that he opted out and was still traded? Wouldn't that make him a FA?

Not to mention Eyenga, McRoberts, and even Ebanks all range from above average to very athletic.

^^^Don't forget Darius Morris.....he had a put back slam against the paperclips IIRC.


I just wanted to note that because it might be the only thing Morris did that was good all season. And the 3/4 court shot at the buzzer, that was good too.

I was thinking the exact same thing, it doesn't really add up.

I would send him to Minn for a future 2nd....Minn is looking for another athletic big. Being young, cheap and possibly expiring might be appealing to them.

Has anybody actually seen Clark yet or has he yet to sign? Has he even been quoted recently?

I am very curious about this player.

I suppose that he won't have too much minutes but... he has the size, youth and athleticism... that is always welcome in a team.

I hear some analysis about him being a good option to help Small Forwards to defend Kevin Durant. I know that Kevin is so good but... any help is welcome.

I wasn't a Eyenga's fan, so I am curious about Earl Clark's contribution. Ariza grew a lot and... I am not saying that Clark will do the same but... he is young and athletic, so nice to have him and try.
