A while back i was trying to give an example of who a prime Shawn Marion was like. Well, Earl Clark is the exact same style and if he continues to improve, he'll be darn close to a Marion clone in MDA's offense.

Nash = Nash
Bell's defensive role = kobe+the scoring
Diaw = MWP??
Marion = Clark
Amare = Howard

We really need a Barbosa.

Josh Smith jacks up some terrible shots and has (imho) a lower bball IQ. No thanks.

He made a couple dumb mistakes here and there, bit on a few fakes and all, but I thought his defense against Lebron was commendable.

Is there a rich man's Clark around the league? That's what we need starting. Clark's good... but ultimately backup material.

^Prime AK-47 comes to mind. I haven't watched him in MInny much to see if can still do what he use to do.

A current rich man's Earl Clark is Josh Smith.

Should have closed out the game when Miami went small. And he was knocking down shots on offense.

We got some breaks with Battier missing a layup , 2 open threes and Cole an open 3 before that... but hey his majesty Gasol wants to finish games

Gasol is too slow, and soft, especially considering that Nash looks a step slower than he used to be. The team has enough veteran b-ball IQ. They need some athletic energy. Earl is a backup, but just by being athletic he fits better than Pau. Surely Pau will he traded at some point.

Always playing hard. Need to keep this guy.

Without him, this game would have been a blowout. I'm not exaggerating.

He had a +14 plus/minus today. Nobody else on the team even had a positive rating.

i like earl, he's a nice player. but when he's essentially been your most consistent player the lat 5 games, you're in trouble

D12 has also been pretty damn consistent. Without him, it's a buffet line at the Layup & Dunk Grill.

Offensively, we don't get him enough touches. So for the amount of touches he gets on O, he's done decent all year.

He needed to start today. We needed to get off to better starts and really emphasize defensive early to set the tone for the rest of the game. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and we got waxed...

John Ireland asked Earl Clark why we lost.

"We gotta play defense man. We're professional athletes. We know how to play D. We have to get the job done."
