Look at kobe at 9:45. You can just see his anger and frustration. Definitely thinking "Don't doubt me and my teammates!!!" lol

Good interview, he was pretty honest and open. I think he's overestimating our half court D though, he just mentions "transition D" as one of our key issues, ignoring how bad our overall D is.

This has been a more pressing issue IMO. The perimeter players cant contain their man at all and Howard is having to come help alot and no one else is helping him. You gotta help the helper and right now the Lakers aren't doing that.

^^ yeah. Defensive rotations, 2nd and 3rd efforts, "helping the helper" have been no existent. Also add to that list not boxing out enough, not communicating enough, etc..

I had a strange feeling watching the entire interview.

It's kind of scary that it only took 22 games for so much to be decided. We're not getting a top 4 seed which means no HCA.

The winning has to start now. There isn't time anymore for, "it's a process, it's still early, etc". They've got a super super short window to get it together now or the season is finished.

Kobe has turned into an interview expert ... basically there were a lot of " subliminals " thrown at different people in a mature and PR way

Hard to bear down on defense when you are a roster that consists of scorers playing in an offense that they are not comfortable doing with guys playing out of position due to injuries.....

A team within the concept must be able to hang it's hat somewhere when things aren't going well....

Is this team an offensive team that feeds off that side of the ball to will themselves on the other end?

Is this team a defensive one that feeds off that side of the ball which than sparks their offensive flow?

The problem is, this team is neither right now

It has no identity in that manner.

We know what their new "genius" coach wants but he is not that identity right now....... he needs his hero and actual brains of the operation back an until that happens they will hang their hat on nothing and continue to struggle and hopefully be humbled to a certain extent so the real work can start....

IMO nothing has started yet...... this team is not working as a hole....... and more humbling awaits until they get it and hopefully a youthful Nash returns.
