Yeah pretty much my thoughts.

Yep, spot on. The heart is a cruel instrument sometimes. Well, all the time. *sigh*

I'm just glad to see there are people who see the distinction. Let's do this guys. Let's FGCU this sh**! Haha.

Yep, I give our boys a punchers chance to steal one if the first two. Then anything can happen.

We need to force Parker to the left. Looking at the shot charts in the wins against us he got most of his looks going to his right. I hope the coaches see this and take note. Other than that I have sort of a good feeling about this series. All the games this season have been close. Save for a Danny Green three, we win season series and not even with a full/healthy line up. If we can win at least one of the first two games which I think is really plausible, we can take this in 6 or 7. Of course that's contingent on speed of game, how good the team defense is, and how effective Pau, and both Steves can be.

Just executing on offense in general.

Limit turnovers because San Antonio will punish you. Take. Care. Of. The. Ball.

I'm torn on whether having Nash back will help or hurt. He is an atrocious defender and Parker always kills him. Offensively if he's a shoot first guy we will be better off IMO. He and Pau passing up open shots is playing right into Pop's game plan. He'd much rather have Meeks and MWP launching from the outside than Nash and Pau.... unfortunately those two are always thinking pass first.

Pau has to be a shoot first player in this series for us to have a fighting chance. Having the ball 4 feet from the hoop and passing to MWP 25 feet away is not a recipe for success against poor team much less the Spurs.

In match-ups we may only have one advantage on the floor and that's Pau/Splitter. Depending on which Pau plays that may not even be the case. It will take us playing well above our heads and consistent effort to win the series.... two things we haven't seen a lot of this season unfortunately.

If we play defense the way we've been playing the last two games, including the one against the Spurs, I think we've got a chance. That's assuming that Ginobli isn't totally playing opossum. If Ginobli is still banged up that's going to be a big factor. Or should I say, if he can go and is healthier than we think then we've got trouble. Hopefully he can't do a lot more than what he did his last game (12 minutes or so, nowhere near full strength).

If Ginobli & Parker are really limited we're going to dominate this series. Looking foward to seeing Dwight on Duncan over a series.. At this stage in TD's career Dwight can really give him trouble.

if parker plays like he usually does against LA, lakers have no chance

especially if ginobili plays well. if they can either contain those two or if they put up poor performances, lakers have a great shot at winning this series

We have only "dominated" in 2 or 3 games this entire season.... WITH KOBE!..... and those teams we beat were not the level of the Spurs or had time to game plan against us.

I like your enthusiasm but I can't get to the point where I'd predict us dominating anything....

You guys are forgetting one HUGE detail.

The 2nd round virgin was picked up by the Spurs. Hopefully the curse continues :jam2:
