TNT apparently will televise the Cavaliers' season opener (rumored to be at the Los Angeles Lakers).

It'll be nice, Kobe will take it as a challenge, and If I were LeBron, I'd hope I was working quite hard...

Oh my.. He's remindin me more and more of Kobe when he was his age. He played several NBA players, and even beat Stack once. It's too bad there's so much hype on James, but we'll never know what will happen if he's played against Kobe. It will kinda be like the future vs the present of the NBA, like when Kobe 1st played against MJ. I'm sure Kobe will give him some pointers, as MJ did for him... Give Bron a few years for him to develop.

Paul Silas is going to do his best to protect Lebron. He 'll probably have Lebron guard Devean George or anybody else except for Kobe. Silas doesn't want the confidence of Lebron to be crushed by Kobe. More often in that game Ricky Davis and Kobe will be playing each other.

Do you guys think LaBron will start? If he comes off the bench, I wonder if coach Silas will give him much playing time his first game out.

LeBron will definitely start. The people came to see him. Millions watching at home want to see him. If LeBron isn't announced for the starting lineup, expect the ratings to plummet before the start of the first quarter. I think he'll be playing SF anyway...but I could be wrong

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

The difference between LeBron and Kobe will be determined as their careers go along, but remember that Kobe was beating Stackhouse and all the Sixers (Iverson was not there yet, obviously) one on one when he was 15 and was already (all around) @ only 6'5 good enough to be a pro...LeBron might take a few years to develop...but who knows...

Well from what I hear, Bron's work ethic is great. I do think it will take him a few year's to develop, but It's going to be exciting watching him...

Lebron is going to have a very busy summer. Kobe on the other hand may or may not play in the olympics. Also, if LA plays the cavs in the first game, yes the story will be Kobe vs. James, but in reality, the game will be dominated by Shaq. Ilgausks will not be able to hold the new and improved Shaq :man4:

I think it will be an exciting game, to see how lebron responds to his first game in the nba, especially since it is against kobe. Everyone will be watching to see if he can live up to all of his hype. I think Kobe will school him, it will be his welcome to the nba present and kobe will play well that first game to show lebron that he is still the best. It will also be interesting because it will let us see our hopefully new and improved laker team with-new players, rookies, shaq in shape, and kobe even better.

Its hard to believe that Kobe at 24/25 is just stepping into his prime. With the past season he just had and a career he already has, how scary would it be when he actually reaches his physical and mental prime. He will take his game to another level.

Ya, I actually think he'll be a starter, cuz it's what the media, and all us wanna c. But I only wanna c him get whats best for the team, and if that's that, then I'm all for it.

Even if KOBE is only at 70% in his desired playing shape...
KOBE will still serve LEBRON a...... CAN OF WHOOP [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.]!!!
