Forward Three wrote:Really seemed like the Heat were going to cheat their way through this one. But, the Bulls made it work. Watched the second half only and I haven't watched that many Heat games this season but every time I do I hate them that much more. This really is one of the chumpiest teams of chumps ever assembled(Clippers and 08 Celtics are ahead). They approach the game with so much entitlement and this attitude that they are ordained by the league to win. It really sucks. It sucks the soul out of the game in some ways save for it being immensely satisfying to see them lose.

Re: Lebron's flagrant in the 4th. Honestly, that could have just as easily been an ejection. The only reason it wasn't was because Boozer is a big dude and Lebron is Lebron. But realistically, you see Lebron make eye contact, wind up and deliver the hit. Players usually get ejected and even suspended for that. Remember when Fisher did it to Scola? Same exact thing.

1. Retaliation move
2. Made eye contact(no pleading that it was unintended roughness)
3. shoulder down, braced for impact
4. excessive and unnecessary contact with intent to harm

Seriously. I was yelling at the TV About that. So many other players in the league would be suspended for something like that. But Boozer absorbed the contact so well that it seemed less harsh than it was and Lebron is Lebron, the league isn't going to suspend him, certainly not eject him from a hotly contested match.

It kills me that the officials factor in things like "well, did the player fall hard?" and "did the player take the hit well?" when deciding these things. One of the whole reasons for having Flagrant-2s and suspensions in the first place is specifically to punish players who take vigilante action against other players. Nothing at all about what Lebron did was a basketball play. It wasn't fighting through the screen or setting a hard pick. It was specifically, with intent, plowing into someone out of retaliation that he wasn't given a call on the other end. Do we really have to paint the distinction that it's only suspension worthy if Boozer happened to have been Hinrich or someone who would might have gotten hurt?

Tired of the Heat though, that team is a disgrace to the sport.

That was funny, JVG is all "there's absolutely nothing wrong with that" and Breen was jumping in and agreeing, "no, not at all". Just a few years back it was a big deal when somebody didn't shake hands, that it was poor sportsmanship, but now they immediately jump to justify it. I don't care either though, the Heat don't have to shake hands, I wouldn't either if my streak was ended and the other team was celebrating like they won the championship. The Heat are still gonna win it all this season though IMO, so this little broken streak celebratory is really all the consolation prize we get lol. It took everything the Bulls had to finish them off, playing 5 on 8 at times is tough, lol at them even LOOKING at that LeBron foul to see if it was flagrant because of who he is and lol at them not giving Boozer an and one on his last basket when LeBron hammered him.

To be fair though, I do agree with JVG on this overall. Not saying teams should always just storm off but I do think the league is too buddy-buddy sometimes as well. Too 'self aware' in a sense and maybe storming off the court is WWE level drama, but so what, it's fun too and games are more exciting when have more reasons to root for or hate a team or otherwise feel like there is a 'beef' or a rivalry or whatever. Time and a place I guess. Kind of just have to know it when you see it.

But yeah, The Heat are bad losers. Lebron is a bad loser. Wade is a bad loser(one of the worst really). Bosh and Battier and Ray Allen are pretty much the only ones on the roster who are known to have some class or otherwise just be more amicable. Chalmers, Birdman, Haslem...etc. are all stooges.

You have to credit the Bulls they've had to battle injuries all season as well and to play Miami so well like that without Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah was pretty awesome. Why wouldn't they be happy and celebrate like they did? Shat we can't even beat a horrible Suns team with Dwight and Nash in our lineup.

^I have said many times that the Heat benefit more from softer officiating than any team in the league. They get away with murder which is labeled "great defense" and half their blocked shots are called goaltends on other teams. Kirk went to the whole two straight plays and got blocked. The Problem? Both blocks should of been goaltends but nothing. The first was Lebron's two handed backboard swat that from what I saw the ball hit the backboard first. The second was Bosh's pretty good looking block but it is the same one that Dwight gets called offensive interference yet it was "clean" for the Heat. I only saw the replay of Lebron's flagrant but I know if it was someone else hitting him that person would of been ejected plain and simple. The Heat are a great team but they get the benefit of the zebras way to much in my mind.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

The streak ends but unfortunately this Heat team has all the makings of being legendary. They have that 90s Bulls feel to them where you know they are going to win the championship and no one can stop them.

Aren't James and Wade the same two clownbags who were making fun of Nowitzki's flu during the 2011 Finals.?

I don't mind giving handshakes to the other team as long as their isn't bad blood. My issue is that when Bron shakes hands it is "OMG he is a great sportsman" if they don't shake hands then it is "Wow, he is taking a leadership role blah blah blah" Like I said this is me hating the Heat or Lebron for that matter it has more to do with the media trying to find anything and everything to praise these guys.

The lakers 33 game win streak is a record that might never be broken! The 72 team could crush teams by 30 and sometimes 40 points.

but IMO miami is still clearly the best team in the league and id be a little surprised if they dont win another title this year

Yeah, back to just 15mins dedicated to the Heat, win or lose, plus another 15-20 for Lebron specifically, and 5mins for Wade's thoughts....you know, just because.

Wade hasn't been this healthy in a while. When Wade is as healthy as he's been, the team is clearly the best out there.

^ And ironically the Bulls didnt have Noah or Marco (Rose ofcourse is trying to get his mind right still, and Rip really doesn't deserve a mention since he just bought a cottage on the Inactive List).

Its amazing what some coaches can get out of guys.

No Derrick Rose, no Joakim Noah, no Marco Belinelli, no Richard Hamilton, no problem. Thibs is just simply remarkable, amazingly good defensive coach.
