Rambis, despite lack of success in the past at least was taught by Phil and has a clear philosophy on what he wants the team to do... unlike some potatoes we know

Sloan is clearly the best fit though

Should've brought him in as an asst and ran his offense, doesnt seem as complicated as this princeston stuff

What's funny is his 2 main asst. Were career losers as HC regardless of situation.

Bring Sloan in right now. He's sitting there unemployed and at least this summer he wanted to coach. He's the perfect fit for reasons I've already gone over several times.

Pringles doesn't care about D at all. I'm not a fan of his. We need some defensive discipline, and despite his rep, Brown hasn't brought that. Might as well get the full package in Sloan. The guy is a bona fide Hall of Fame coach. He has been inducted. He is legit. He will garner the respect of these players starting with Kobe who has already shown it towards him. Nash will play great under him. And I expect Dwight will as well. Pau? I don't know. He's not Jerry's kind of player. But his versatility will still help.

I still think Brown deserves about 20 games before they pull the plug on him, but if they have any concerns about replacing him it needs to be done by then. They can't afford to wait until the Lakers are the 10th seed in February to do something about it.

currently looking at Kurt Rambis doing post-game for SportsNet (on my internet... not on my tv as I have Dish... arrrrggghhh) and wondering why he isn't our head coach instead of this:

I don't know why you guys keep harping for offense. That is going to come and I'm confident about that. You need a guy that makes you want to play defense. You believe in his defensive principles. A guy like Thibodeau. I've always liked Stan Van Gundy, but that probably won't work with Dwight around, even though Dwight swears that he and Stan talk daily now.

I'm even looking at Rambis now. He was our defensive coach when Phil was here and this team ranked in the top 6 in Phil's 2nd tenure aside from that 1st season. Clark Kent and Superman on the same team. I would do this yesterday if it were up to me.

D'Antoni is a terrible idea. He's a run and gun specialist and our team is not equipped for that. Phil would be PERFECT.

We aren't doing anything right. Nothing.

LOL @ some fans calling us clueless for wanting potato head out of here. So what if it's only 2 games. It is clear we won't win a championship or get close with him as head coach. Plus we haven't won a game since game 3 (or was it game 2?) of the playoffs last year against OKC. We couldn't even win a damn preseason game. Fire his [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. If we do fire Brown, we'd need a coach that can come in and command the respect of everyone immediately, and get straight to work. We can't even waste time firing him and having one of our assistants as the interim, bring in the real coach and handle business.

Sloan is who comes to mind in that case. I dont think anyone reasonably expects to see Phil return. Personally I dont think too highly of Pringles to say the least, and JVG I really like but I dont really see it happening (but who knows).

Rambis is ok. But he's no Jerry Sloan. That man is a real HOF coach.

Phil is not going to happen for reasons we already know well - he and Jim don't get along. That shipped sailed. And some of these players already quit on Phil during his last season.

First of all, Phil's traingle would be 10 times worse right now for Nash. Second, Phil can barely walk. Phil is 66 years old and ailing.

Sloan is the guy we need. Need a bulldog who knows pick and roll and knows how to teach effort. And more important then anything, Sloan can yell at these guys and they would listen.

Plus, he's way too old.

I don't see any legit, realistic options that will come in and improve the team, can't see Phil coming back. He's not going to be fired anyway, this franchise doesn't fire coaches mid-season.
