It really amazes me that these writers have discredited what Kobe has done so much that they basically think Bron can "just do it" at will.

I say "Whatever" to ESPN this time. They are setting LeBron up for a fall. Read that article on the analysis of Kobe's 61. http://www.clublakers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=106790. Even if Bron gets 61, it's gonna be an ugly, ugly 61, and Cavs would probably lose for Bron to get that many shots. LBJ's career high is 56 against Toronto back in '05, and Cavs lost that game by 7 points. He shot 18-36, 6-12 from 3, and 14-15 FTs. That is an AMAZING game by his standards, and they still lost by 7. I just don't see it happening for LBJ tonight, so the more ESPN wants to hype it the better, I say.

Why is LeBron even being in mentioned in the same sentence with the other two?

Cuz lebron is better than both of them combined. They're changing the NBA logo to lebron throwing his powder in the air.

if you were watching with the volume off youd think they were saying that lebron was clearly the best since they made a point of highlighting his stats. for the record, jamaal mashburn said he thought jordans was the most impressive since it was his 5th game back from retirement.

I'd probably agree with Jordan's being the most impressive as well, another reason being it wasn't against the D'Anphony no defense NY Knicks, it was against the Knicks when they still had good, tough players. That's not taking anything away from Kobe, his night was amazing, not that impressed with LeBron's though, that's the hater in me.

Kobe's was done with 1.5 hands
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Yup, even BSPN how has the same headline.

It almost looks like LeBron is trying to break the record. He's scored essentially half of the Cavs points. You can argue that they need him to but I don't know. I'm not watching the game so it's hard to tell but from the stats it looks like he's "trying".

HAHA... LeBron tried and failed

Is anyone watching the game, was there even one chant of MVP there for LeBron?

ESPN never mentions how Kobe gets MVP chants where ever he goes

They actually monitored LeBron's points quarter by quarter on the NBA section front page. As if we must keep an eye on him because he's that good, all eyes on LeBron the god, Kobe would NEVER get that treatment. LeBron's game will be celebrated hugely even though he won't get to 61, because as of now he's got 48, 10 assists and 8 rebounds, they're gonna eat it up.

ESPN Hearts LeBron, I seriously can't believe they monitor his points as they go along, NO other player would get his kind of treatment.

Lol, after I posted that pic with the headline 'LeBron hits 50', they actually changed it to 'LeBron hits 52', they were going point by point, that's insane.

If Kobe played those minutes, with a purpose to score -- he'd score 75. You know that.

i love how they were so eager to nick pick that out, of course this would make lebron > kobe and Mj

Good game for Lebron but a bit contrived. Regardless of what he said, he was gunning for the record.
