They also did something similar earlier, where they had a picture claiming the Heat destroyed the Celtics before that game had even started.

That's because it's old news. If you go to the NBA section, it's there.

Also, the second story behind the OKC victory to the NBA Finals is: "The Celtics have scorched LeBron James before. It's just a sunnier location this time."

So come on, let's not get silly now.

What I find funny is that they STILL have a "Heat Index" despite the fact they are once again on the brink of an early elimination. I guess it's what the customers want though.

I mean that's the thing we have to realize. ESPN is not in the business of promoting their agenda. They're in the business of making money. If the people want a Heat index, I guess they're going to get a heat index. I mean, didn't they produce Kobe: Doin Work? I'm pretty sure that wasn't out of some kind of pro-Kobe agenda. It was to make money. Everything is rooted in money.

Flipping through the channels, go past ESPN, see on subject on the side, "The Cramp Game"....

That game is really going to go down as the cramp game? That is weak, but not surprising, I mean it's way more courageous and heroic then let's say Rajon Rondo's dislocated elbow game.

Yes, seriously. 3 MVPs, 1 ring, 1 Finals MVP at the age of 27. That's quite a line and not to mention the guy arguably impacts the game in more ways than any other player has: He's huge, has handles, strength, speed, great floor vision, good on-man & help D.

I hate sounding like a Bron-jocker, but trying to be an impartial basketball fan, Lebron is probably the most physically-gifted basketball player we've seen.

Like I've been saying, LeBron getting 1 ring suddenly validates his whole career and greatness with the media, it's why I didn't want to see it happen. A guy like Kobe has 5 and he's suddenly forgotten, or it's "well he needs to tie or pass Jordan in rings to be in the conversation" which is ridiculous because he has more rings already than any other greats still playing.

Top 10 still sounds a bit premature ... will he end up in the TOP 10 when his career is over ? Probably ... but the 2012 NBA title won't stay in the book as one with tough competition to beat ... plus it's not like the 2010 and 2011 failures should dissapear from his resume even if the medias say otherwise

The media these days is very very shortsighted.

It seems they are okay with just forgetting anything from 1989 and before that is irrelevant. And anything that happened from 1990 to present is picked and chosen selectively and regurgitated over and over again.

If someone that never watched basketball before watched ESPN for a year, they would no doubt get the impression that Michael is GOAT with Lebron second.

They forget all past accomplishments because they are too busy crowning the most recents performances as the greatest ever. Take the Top 25 playoff performances for example. Lebron and MJ have 11 of the 25 greatest playoff performances?

No way in hell that is remotely close to true, but ESPN's shortsightedness combined with their selective revision of past accomplishments in the NBA, they will say it is and a lot of people will eat it up.

That's fair. I agree that his playoff failures should not be stricken from the record.

I do, however, think it's possible that due to some of the dumb things he's said and the backlash of "The Decision" we as a society have been overly-critical of his failures. Those things should be remembered, but they shouldn't negate all he's accomplished at a still relatively young age. It could also be said that the guy getting as far as he has in the postseason is still an accomplishment in and of itself. Kinda like the Lakers losing the '08 Finals felt like death, but it was still a great accomplishment to get that far while losing Bynum and adding Ariza and Gasol on the fly DURING that season. We overachieved that year.

Anyway, I'm still as bummed as anyone here that it looks like Bron and his gf Wade are gonna piggy-back each other to a ring. I was absolutely delighted every time I thought of their premature championship rally and the "Not 1, not 2..." garbage. Drat.

I'll be happy for LeBron, but I'm definitely staying away from ESPN for a couple of days. Gonna be nonstop GOAT talk for the whole summer. Im surprised i still watch it as much as i do.
