Oh brother, so people only vote for Kobe as the hero, and they never vote for him as the zero, which is a cop out. I really wish we had an eye-rolling emoticon here. More often than not Kobe is the hero, but plenty of other players get votes, Dwight, Metta,Nash the occasional role player like Clark. But if Kobe has a bad game he must be the zero I guess, no matter who hurt us most. You are right though, had Dwight not got ejected yesterday Kobe was my next in line for zero. The criteria is someone who played and hurt us the most, and to me that was Dwight by getting tossed when we needed him badly. Kobe was next with his awful shooting and for playing just as bad on d as anyone else. People saying everyone was the zero, no hero, this is not the first time.

But Dwight getting tossed was pathetic. What did he do to deserve the tossing?

Doesn't matter to me what he did, when you have one tech you act like a saint to stay out there. Had Kobe been tossed for screaming at the refs I'd say the same thing. He DID shut up after his first tech though, he even calmly went over and talked to the ref immediately after getting it.

But Dwight was tossed for...? He wasn't even interacting with an official when he was tossed. Dwight was simply playing basketball and was tossed for... playing basketball? That was ridiculous.

From what I saw he did what he always does to get techs, needlessly had a little "extracurricular activity" with an opposing player after the play was over, showing signs of frustration in dumb ways that get him fouls and techs.

I understand where you are coming from Weez but I can't agree on this particular occassion. On the double T you can see Dwight was being held, then the Toronto dude turned around and went at Dwight but Dwight didn't even react. In my opinion Dwight was totally faultless in that second tech. On most occassion I say don't say nothing to get the refs attention again and had he done I'd be slamming him. However, Dwight did none of that in my opinion.

I guess the replay is interpreted differently. All I saw was a flop artist holding onto Dwight's arm and whining while doing it and the gullible ref sucked at his job and made a bad call. And you want to blame Dwight for a bad call even after the NBA rescinded the bad call they made.

I've watched the replay quite a few times now, and you guys are right, it was a terrible call the ref was fooled and blew the whistle too quick, the refs really don't seem to like Dwight. He gets a lot of free throws yes, but he's also reffed a lot like Shaq, guy are allowed to hang on him and hammer him and it's ok because he's big. I guess I'm just trying really hard not to blame the refs for our troubles right now. The league has rescinded that 2nd tech though so clearly Dwight did nothing wrong, that's my mistake. I guess Kobe was my zero after all. :man10:

Although in Dwight's defense, there's no way the refs let him play the same style of basketball as Noah. All Joakim Noah does is run around basketball courts pushing people around, grabbing arms, flopping to the floor and the refs give him the benefit of the doubt all game. The minute Dwight grabs anybody's arm or pushing anybody it's a guaranteed foul. It's also a technical and an ejection apparently too.

So even though Dwight got a ZERO from me tonight, it's understandable if he's frustrated playing in the paint against Noah and those Bulls. They were hacking him left and right all game.

He had the ball a lot in the post. Those possessions resulted in either embarrassing bricks, turnovers, or complete hacks that sent him to the line for more embarrassing bricks. Dwight was awful offensively tonight as Noah was completely outplaying him in the paint.

hero: mwp (really frustrated millsap on defense, kept the jazz honest on offense)
honorable mention to pau for looking alive for a night.

zero: duhon.
honorable mention to nash. not a strong game from him, imo.

given the zeros, the lakers were lucky not to see mo williams i this one. the tinsley/watson pg duo is rough.
