Props also to Bernie Bickerstaff for being 1-0 with the Lakers (LOL) and for giving the bench some decent burn and resting the starters, and giving Meeks some minutes finally.

Howard played really good defense. Don't judge by the box score, especially with Dwight

Shooting last night from the Forward position was beyond atrocious.... actually beyond Kobe it was atrocious. Good thing it was GS and not OKC.

Agreed. MWP is going to be our #1 liability all year long. It's a blessing he is ok at defense but it's a curse that that keeps him on the court on the other side.

I don't get why we give him the ball as much as we do. I mean, he should NEVER take more shots than Dwight Howard. Kobe? Fine. Nash? Fine. Pau? Fine. But MWP, never.

I'm hoping at some point they give the Nash/Meeks/Kobe/Pau/Howard lineup a shot.

Well.... I noted last summer why I thought keeping him in the starting line up was a bad idea. He is most effective in the paint as a scorer....... so is Howard....... so is Pau (if he'd ever get in there) and Kobe is better there these days as well. The opposing teams know that so the are sagging off MWP and Pau just like they did last year into the lap of our center leaving MWP and Pau open to shoot outside shots. Offensive schemes may mask this for a while but when it gets time to play the same team over and over for 7 games we won't be able to hide the fact we don't have a balanced team out there.

I wouldn't give it to Meeks, he held Marcus Thornton to 1/10 shooting...not easy to chase that guy around.
