It must be Kobe for hero and MWP for zero...

he needs to be gone this off-season. I want to see basketball players on the floor again at 3.

Ebanks, Artest, Barnes...I'm tired of garbage at 3.

Zero: Peace out...though he had some timely defensive sequences knocking the ball off the dribble.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

True, especially on that key possession that wound up being a missed Mayo 3, his D on Dirk really made a difference.

He took 6 shots, but most of them were off-balance, long jumpers. Terrible shots. But he didn't "chuck", no.

As usual, MWP is unstable and inconsistent in offense.

I thin MWP was hustling on defence. It's something that doesnt come across well on TV but i give him props for some key defensive effort out there, especially in he fourth.

Metta played some of the best defense I've ever seen on Dirk in that game. Dirk is Dirk and you can't stop him, but Metta played some really incredible defense.

I appreciate his effort. It wasn't great defense, IMO. Outside of that 1 possession where he disrupted the inbounds play, I wasn't that impressed. Nobody can guard Dirk when he's on and that much is true. I just don't see this great defense that people are talking about.

HOw do you say "no one can gaurd Dirk" and then say "you weren't impressed?" MWP was brutal on offense but he got into Dirk and made him work for his shots especially in the 4th. Some will discredit it and say he got away with fouls but in the same breath not say Dwight was effective because Brand was holding him all game. I really don't know why people think Ron isn't doing anything for the team. This dude has been great defensively all year. On the otherside is a different story.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

I can be impressed by someone making a great effort defensively against a top-tier player. In this case, I wasn't with MWP. Simple, really. He was adequate. That's it.
