Him or Him?

Damn, I'm going to dig that issue up and re-read it. If I can recall right James is on the left wearing green. I'll go with James. Best dunk in the finals:

Malik over DM OR RJ over Willis?

I'd have to go with RJ over Willis, that was a crazy dunk. I imagine Willis still remembers it fairly well.

Patterson or Bowen(the two alleged "kobe stoppers", even though there is no such thing)

Bowen, he is a well known defensive player. Now against a Kobe with two good shoulders, we'll see. Besides, bowen can shoot the 3.

Speaking of 3

Most likely to be accepted at Rut Park.

Bob C. OR Pete M. OR Jason W.

Marques JOHNSON (I screwed up -- sorry) used to play for the Bucks back in the days when the Sixers had a young Dr. J. Used to play for UCLA in the Wooden days.

Gotta go with Pistol Pete on that one. 44 points a game at LSU. WOW.

Jamal Wilkes or James Worthy??

Walton. Kapono might be a shooter, but as they said, he has "white man's disease." He's not very consistent either.

PJ Brown or Jerome Williams?

Pistol Pete or Bob Cousy

Postby obfxkg21 on Sun Jun 29, 2003 9:04 pm

Pistol Pete was definetely a rgeat player before he died. So I would pick Bob Cousy because he had a longer career than Pistol Pete.

Elgin Baylor or Jerry West?

you have to go with Mr. NBA logo himself(anyone think they will ever change the logo? if they do I think the candidate they would chose would be MJ, what ya think?), jerry west. He was one of the Lakers very best, and one of the best guards in the league. He has done so much as a player and a GM.

Big Ben or Yao Ming?

its so funny some of the basket players that CL members pitt against were already mentioned in the past. Ladeez and Gents please read a few threads back so you would know which questions were asked and which were not ...
everything is going in a circle.
questions like:
Yao Ming or Wang Zhi Zhi
Pistol Pete or Bob Cousy
Elgin Baylor or Jerry West
Worthy or Pip
Zeke vs AI
all were already asked TWICE... LOL anyways...

Yao would win his sheer height and post-up moves are even too much for BIG BEN to handle. BEN is a great defensive team player. He usually gets the majority of his blocks through help defense. Yao towers over him and would make him pay every time at the low-post. Plus, BEN does not posess much offensive skills

KOBE and EDDIE JONES VS. T-MAC and VINCE Carter

Kobe and Eddie. T-Mac can't hold down Kobe. Eddie would shut down Vince Carter, the Most Overrated Athlete. End of story.

Battle of the Pacer Bench:
Al Harrington or Jonathan Bender?

Game to 11, win by two, past the arc counts as two inside is one. Bender takes the early lead with three long range jumpers. 6-0 bender. Al puts the clamps down. Bodies JB, and backs him down to the basket many times. Eventually, 9-8 JB. Al has the ball and control of this game, talking much trash, "you're high point was the Mcdonald's game, after this, why don't you go get me a Big Mac and some fries". Drop step, ohhh, it rims out. JB with the board, he clears it, steps back beyond the arc, swiiiiish. Bender wins by 3.

Here's a two parter.

1) Biggest laker fan outside Jack
Snoop OR Cube

2) One on One, win by two, game to 11
Snoop OR Cube

Biggest Laker fan outside of Jack, Snoop or Cube?

Probably that blond lady who sits next to Magic all the time...what the hell was her name......

Cube vs. Snoop?

Cube! Snoop got game but he weighs like 150 lbs. Cube will rough him up too much. If they end up throwing blows, Cube wins in a landslide.

"messed around and got a triple-double" You remember that weak hook shot he threw up in the video :man10:

Owners:
Mark Cuban vs. Maloof Bros vs. Jerry Buss

Who would you rather have run the Lakers?

Rasheed! Antoine is the 2nd most overrated NBA baller to Vince Carter. Easy victory for 'Sheed over fat 'Toine.

Sean Kemp vs. Dikembe Mutumbo (primes)

Deke, because he had a much better defensive game than kemp had. Deke could block about anything and could rebound.

Howard

Postby Calimatic on Wed Jul 02, 2003 12:32 am

Howard!!! has a better all around game. PJ is better for the lakers though.

Magic, in his prime or Kobe???
Calimatic

Postby Calimatic on Wed Jul 02, 2003 12:35 am

I am assuming you mean in their primes. Know doubt Grand Mama

He was a big time baller until his back. Right now though Mas definetly.

Spud Webb or Mugsy Bogues???
Calimatic

Postby kingjsun on Wed Jul 02, 2003 7:44 am

First of all Mugsy would get dunked on, so I'm going with spud on that one. Now to back it up a little, best owner for the lakers, I would like to see Mark Cuban. He and the spoof bros are willing to spend the cash, unlike Buss. However, Mark isn't a money flashing [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] like the spoof bros. Every time they are being seen, they flashing cash. With out that money, they'll be punks. Mark is willing to come down to the common man and work at Walmart and Dairy Queen. I don't think the Spoof Brothers worked a second in there life. As far as Buss goes, without his daughter, we probably wouldn't have phil extend. You know he's tapping the owners daughter, right!? Last but not least, Magic (prime) vs Kobe. Kobe one on one. Magic is dangerous in a team game. One on one, who would Magic pass it to? If he passes to himself, it's traveling. Thus Kobe.

Now, Best in a wheel chair Grant Hill or Jay Williams

First of all...

I posted the same match-up way back in the 4th page. I was blasted saying we shouldn't pitt LAKERS vs. LAKERS because it was some sort of unspoken rule.... Yea so I took some heat because of it and my question was never answered.

Anyways. Grant Hill will post a triple double on Jwill with or without crutches.

who wins
Richard DUMAS(prime) or Cedric "of Hollywood" Ceballos(prime)
