Him or Him?

Him or Him?

Postby Slayer Alstarx on Mon Jun 02, 2003 9:49 am

Okay this is how it works:

I'll start off with two players, the next person picks one, and explains why, then continues with 2 more players, etc. etc.
Try to keep the chatter down to a minimum and it can be a great thing.

Steve Francis, or AI?

Payton....

Van Exel... Always loved him as a Laker, even though he had a mean streak. He has that 3 bomb, and found a home in Dallas....

that is the easiest yet..

T -Mac, Carter is on a down slide. Way to injury prone!!

Damn, I posted at the same time as you Slayer.

Mutumbo, a huge deffensive presence. One of the only centers in the NBA that can guard Shaq one on one!

Kid or Nash

How come I get the first HARD one?

Pippen. In the team concept he can do everything, inside and out offense, and defend any position.

Nowitzki or Webber?
Call it from Heaven Chick.

Dirk, because he's more of an all around player, has a better touch, makes more shots than Webber, and Dirk is less injury prone.

Magic or Jordan?

Nowitzki. Very Dependable J. Tries on defense. Not very injury prone. When he got hurt in the playoffs, that was freak injury. Webber has been hurt for at least 20 games a season his whole career. Dirk's 24; C-Webb is a King-oops-I mean C-Webb is 30.

Carmelo, because he isn't as big of a risk. He is used to playing more than Lebron is. Lebron is used to a much shorter schedule and will be worn out 1/4 through the season and will probably get injured. Carmelo will make more of an immediate impact, but Lebron will be better in about 3 years. Lebron has to mature and gain experience. Carmelo probably has more basketball knowledge right now also. So both would be a good choice depending on if you wanted immediate results or resuls in a few years.

Barkley or Rodman (each in their prime)

Popeye. He has made more of an impact. He's has grabbed alot of rebounds. 28 in a game once I think. Plus he did decently with the Wizards when he played with MJ.

Yao Ming or Amare Stoudemire

although MING might become a dominant center in the next few years.
Right now Stoudemire is explosive/more athletic with less pressure in becoming the next big thing. My pick Stoudemire

Vince Carter (before injury) or Dominique Wilkens (at his prime)

Even though both had great flash and were excellent dunkers. Wilkens was more of a scorer and could score easier than Carter could. Wilkens could also shoot the ball better and did not rely on his inside game as much. And I think Wilkens is a better defender.

Howard or P.J. Brown

PJ Brown is a great defender in a team concept game. In a street ball Brown would be guarding Howard out of the paint and Howard can use his quickness and or Drain the outside shot.

Advantage Howard.

on a one on one match:
MAGIC JOHNSON (at his prime) or T-MAC

I asked in a ONE ON ONE MATCH-UP

we all know MAGIC is a better Team Player. But in a STREET BALL
between Magic or T-Mac ...one on one.. who will win?

KB Fan,

I think Magic would win against T-Mac. Magic would back T-Mac down into the paint until tomorrow. Yeah! Tracy is quicker, but when could he use that speed if Magic was laying those 15 extra pound on him, on both sides of the ball mind you!!

Wilt the STILT wins hands down!!! If you would have put Wilt with that BOSTON team they probably would have gone 15 years str8 championships. He was the SHAQ in his era
