Horry

Has anyone heard anything new about Rob. Is any team talking with him? And now with the almost certain signing of Malone, do you see him re-signing for less to be his back up since he said he has loads of respect for him?

I love your username Shobe. Welcome!

I BADLY want to resign Horry just because it's the right thing to do.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

I hope Horry stays. Malone and Horry are 2 very intelligent players. The 2 of them can really shed tons of knowledge upon the young guys. Stay a little longer Rob.

Since Cook and Horry have such a similar style of play, I think it would be best for Cook to learn from Horry. We all saw the improvement Devean had when Horry was constantly teaching him the 'little' things coaches don't necessarily teach you. I think it would benefit the Laker team in the long run to get Horry back for at least one more year, and I believe the organization agrees. It's in Horry's hands. I hope he comes back, Horry can't go out like this!

Horry coming off the bench behind Malone (if he decides to come back that is..) would benefit him greatly. The Lakers were thin at PF last year and Horry had to play sooo many minutes and wasn't effective come playoff time. If he comes back, the Lakers bench would be that much deeper and Horry won't burn himself out night after night but besides that, he'll pick up another ring!

I hope he comes back and gets a ring with us. He deserves it after a horrible playoff season he had. This should be Mitch's last move and offer Horry a contract.

I think the Lakers need a shooter such as Pitoski or Jon Barry.

Horry? Even though his $5.3 million option was not picked up by the Lakers, Big Shot Rob is eligible to re-sign with L.A. for more than the $1.5 million exception because his rights have not been renounced.

I'll tell you what, Horry would be a great pickup for the Mavs... But it would be hard beating them if it came to that...

Come on Horry... One more... Year...

The mavs are only goin to sign horry to keep him away from the Lakers!!!! Lakers cant offer more then 1.5 mil to horry. He would be a good backup to Malone and a great teacher to Cook. Lakers should offer horry a coaching job after the retires!!!! So that he will sign with the Lakers!

Actually, the Lakers can offer as much as they want to Horry, they still retain rights to him. They can offer him as much as Buss wants to. The same would go for Samaki, Tracy, B.Shaw or any of the the other Laker free agents. This is the reason Jason Kidd could sign for the max with the Nets even though they are over the salary cap.

I know they have the rights to horry i posted that before. what i was saying is the lakers dont have money over the cap. yea they can sign horry to whatever but they cant offer less then 1.5mil!!!! And they wont offer more then 1.5!!! so i guess 1.5 is his magic number!

Cook is SOFT he is nowhere near ready to compete at this level, i watched 2 summer league games, he wants nothing to do with the inside and he is not a strong finisher Id love to have Rob back......if not Gary Trent / Ty Hill / or Chris Anderson
