Since 83-84. Started watching the Lakers when I relocated to LA...was mesmerized by Magic and the "Showtime" era.

Around 89 or 90. Pieced in a number of previous years thru tapes so I'm pretty well-versed.

Before that I liked Orlando, but I always like the Lakers. I really like watching out Laker cames that my parents have on tape like Magic, Byron, games with Worthy, Kareem. Its all good.

I saw this on page 1, hilarious, Shaq Fan from 2003. LOL.

I was born into a Laker loving family in 1963..would say I first remember getting into games around the first LA championship.

As some of you know, I go down in April every year to celebrate my birthday, (as well as my dad and sister's). I always go to a game while there and usually take my mom. She's the reason I'm the fan that I am!
Well this year I'm taking a carload!..Me and a friend, my nephew and his friend and both my mom and my dad. I can't wait.
The last Laker game I went to was the Sac. game up here in December. Now THAT was a good game!! :jam2:

1998. The ONLY reason I became a Laker fan is because I thought Kobe, in his second year, was very exciting to watch. And of course, I knew nothing of basketball back then.

So thanks #8, for making me a Laker fan for life.

I began following them in 1970 while living in Atlanta.... Ahhh the pain of being a Hawks fan even then. Then when I moved to LA in 75 got to be a big time fan at that time. One of my old favorites was Jamaal Wilkes. BTW I NEVER feel old. LOL

I've been a Laker fan since the late 70's. We didn't have cable til 83 so the only games I caught were the late night tape-delays on CBS. The most fondest of my memories was in 79 I was 5 at the time. We stayed up to watch the Lakers play the San Diego Clippers and the premiere of the 6'9 rookie Earvin "Magic" Johnson and you get the picture.

:man9: yup Magic was the man in the 80's, his airness of course ruled the 90's which was a lowpoint for me as a fan.

I'm a bandwagon fan...I jump into the Lakers bandwagon when they traded for Kareem. I never fell off even in the dark days of the early 90's.

I am a Lakerfan since 1997 though I´m 21 years old. Before 1997 I had never heared something about Basketball but the Bulls and MJ. In Germany there is barely ANY Basketball news games commercial or anything. Now Nowitzki going nuts it has improved slightly.

Mid 90's right before Kobe came into the league. I was in the 5th grade I believe. I still remember the draft day trade for Kobe. Divac was so upset. :man10:

I´m still upset. We should have kept Divac instead of going to sign a felony dynasty killer who believes he can be MJ :disagree:
