How many people are expecting a new roster next year?

^ I really like Gortat as well. Even dating to his days back with Orlando. He has a nice touch on offense but makes his leaving on the defensive end.

Those are some interesting ideas, for sure.

I expect a lot of disappointed fans after this off-season. There's no reason to spend just to spend. Kobe cannot be the best player on our team anymore. There's no one out there that can help us win a title. LeBron isn't coming. Getting locked into a massive contract with Melo or others will only put us in the same situation we are now years down the road. Sad, but all so true.

Yup..... Well said.

However I think if Melo wants to be here we'd do it in a NY minute..... Unfortunately.

I still think they are looking for a marketable star over the next championship. I'd love to see a slow and deliberate rebuilding but I'm not so sure the front office wants to go through the financial pain of a couple seasons without a marketable star.
