82games has finally come out with stats for this season. They're still updating, but here are some interesting ones.
Per 100 possessions...
Lakers are 43.4 points better with Kobe Bryant on the floor. That is ridiculous.
Lakers are 53.5 points better with Pau Gasol on the floor. This is also ridiculous.
No other two Lakers come close. In fact, I don't think any other player in the entire NBA (assuming he gets some significant minutes) comes close.
Lakers are 25.5 points worse with Antawn Jamison on the floor. Terrible.
Lakers are 31.9 points worse with Jordan Hill on the floor. Even worse.
That basically just emphasizes how much our bench has been sucking. It's been better without Brown though.
If you use RAPM (adjusted for who the player plays with), then our top 3 players have been Kobe, Gasol, and Howard, which isn't surprising. Their numbers are all pretty close with Kobe being our most important offensive player and Dwight being our most important defensive player.
On the other hand, our worst player has been Hill with Morris following closely behind.
I didn't count players who haven't gotten much playing time.
