He needs a jersey in the rafters as the best celeb fan of all times.

^^ YES!! That would be perfectly fitting for the Jack jersey. He truly deserves it. And no Dyan Cannon doesn't get one, too. Jack should be the only celeb jersey in the rafters. He's the best. So cool that he reached out to Dwight, too. Awesome! Heard that on the radio this morning. Doesn't surprise me a bit. Jack is the ultimate Lakers fan.

Would love to hear that conversation. I don't know what other celebrity fan would do this or a celebrity fan who could call a player and it have as much weight as a call from Jack has.

 Jack's the single greatest celebrity sports fan. He needs something honoring him. A statue, a jersey, retire his seat when he's gone...or all of the above.

With as much as Dwight loves Hollywood, I'm sure this meant quite a bit to him.

Maybe Jack agreed to star opposite him in a new movie if he re-ups. :man10:

Perhaps he offered Dwight a role in a movie. Either way it must be influential to hear from the great Jack.

I think Spike Lee in New York would be the only one close in comparison, but I agree with the others in calling for a jersey in the rafters for him.

Of all the celebs out there to help recruit Dwight, Jack is the only one I would care about. He's he ultimate fan, he's been a season ticket holder since 1970. You talk about seeing greatness, he has seen almost all of it in LA, he is a guy that can speak about the greatness of the franchise having been there through great times AND bad, he would know that as bad as it can seem the Lakers always get back on top.

Jack wants another ring for the Lakers as bad as Kobe.
+1 on the jersey in the rafters.
Jack could play Dwight 's agent who is planning to kill him if he doesn't sign with his favorite team.
All time Lakers team: Magic, Kobe, West, Worthy and Chamberlain.

Of course. Dwight wants to pursue a acting career and get his own reality show. :freak2: This is absolutely ridiculous. At this point in his career these things shouldn't matter anymore.

And people wonder why I don't like the dude. 9 years in and he's still goofing around.

Awesome! :jam2:

Hopefully, Jack pulled out all the stops and delivered an inspirational speech that rivaled Pacino in "Any Given Sunday."

I hope he gets a retired jersey like everyone is saying as well as I hope they make a figurine statue of him and put it in the chair he sat at, when he does pass away. I think the same should go for Dr. Buss, but I guess that is up to them to decide.

I'd just retire his court side seat. That seat would be reserved for only the truest of Laker fans.
