Technically "High Fructose Corn Syrup" and "Sugar" are two different things...... :man1:

i miss shannon brown.

hope meeks really improves his game and can become more than a spot up shooter. that would require consistent minutes of course but i really want him to become that x factor for us that teams kind of forget about and he'll make them pay. i have high hopes but 3 point shooters come to LA and suck

I actually don't miss Shannon Brown at all.

Hope he does well in Phoenix, but I really don't miss him at all.

2 yrs, 3 mil is a steal

he's basically a guy who can fill in a derek fisher type of role
hustle player who can catch and shoot from deep

I have a feeling about this guy. He's a hardworker. I think he's going to have a solid year. He brings something different to the table in his shooting ability and defensive effort. He's a big reason Kobe will be fresh heading into the postseason...

Hopefully tonight we can see some good looks for him. He's a brilliant spacer and I think with Howard/Pau on the floor he's a great fit.

I'm really hopeful we see him come out and have a nice game tonight.

Well its easy to say we miss him especially after seeing those opening night highlights. That was Shannon's best or arguably his best game as a Lakers player. Unfortunately after that first game we thought we'd be getting something like that each night off the bench but it never happened.

I really did enjoy him while he was on the team, but I remember the inconsistencies more than all the positives unfortunately.

Which is why I'm a little bummed Howard isn't playing tonight. I thought it would be fun to see Meeks space the floor even more with Howard in there even though I doubt Vinny would double a lot with DeAndre in there.

Well Vinny should... Jordan is one of the worst post defenders I've seen in the league. Drew and Howard routinely abuse him. He's a shot blocker, not a defender.

Meeks will still look good as a spacer with Pau operating down low. I'd be interested to see them run some of Howard's sets with Pau in there instead of Sacre.

Hopefully he starts and can get some wide open looks from Nash and get his confidence up. also to shove it in mike browns face so he never ruins his rotations.

also hope to see Glock so he can prove his worth and stay on the roster. kind of his last chance these next games.

I agree that this is make it or break it time for him more than ever before in this game.

He had an ok game. He had some turnovers and missed some shots in the paint he probably should have made. Overall, he made some shots, attacked the basket, and was decent defensively. If we can get the type of performance tonight minus the turnovers, I'll take it...

When Ron is not playing well, Mike Better put in Meeks in at the 2 and bump Kobe to the 3. Hes the perfect floor spacer for this team. Catch and quick release.

Jodie got off to a slow start in the preseason; once he started getting his feet wet with more minutes, he started to glimpses of what he could do. He shoots the three which will space the floor, plays solid defense, etc. He's going to be a big part of our bench...

Jodie is exactly what the Lakers needed, a catch-shoot guy. Too often guys are great 3-point shooters off of screens (remember Glen Rice) or with the ball in their hands. Some guys just aren't catch and shoot guys, which is why it feels as if their shoot pct drops when they are the Lakers. Going back to the Shaq days you have strong post players and an elite scorer in Bryant. You need spot up shooters as you aren't running plays for them. Fish was solid as a catch and shoot guy. Meeks will be great once the full team is in place, as we know what kind of attention they will warrant.

Nash/Meeks/Kobe/Jamison/Howard is a nicely spaced floor.

Maybe at some point he can run the point. He ran a little bit of it in Philly. He's better than Blake or Duhon. Plus, if Brown is really in love with using Jamison at the 3, you can put Meeks at the one, Ebanks at the two, and Jordan at the four.

he looked better towards the end. catch and shoot 3's. gonna be good for us once jamison wakes up. them both with hill will be good. ebanks needs to work on his 3 before he starts jacking it up...rather him shoot midrange at this point. happy with meeks' production with the inconsistency of mins he was given until the end

Maybe, but Meeks did shoot way for threes that Blake thus I think his percentage could be a fair representation of the season's outlook
