even if his pnr play is limited, if he's shooting hot, he will be able to get the ball to pau for a nice jumper because the other big will definitely be forced to step out on the play.

He played well. He shot lights out which is what we signed him for; he provides the spacing we need for Dwight or whoever is operating in the paint...

I can see why Kobe liked him in practice, when Meeks is confident he is a sharp shooter. Watching our bench kill the other team in threes is something we've only seen from other teams.

Yeah. I think the last player to do that might have been Kareem Rush in the playoffs against, I want to say Minnesota.

Prior to that, it was the famous Kobe game vs Seattle which will still go down as one of the most amazing individual performances I've ever seen.

He has a really quick release, reminds me a lot of Ray Allen's shot. If he can continue to hit the three at a consistent clip he can really help us extend leads and allow us to rest our starters a bit more.

Meeks in with good ball movement and hits a 3...puts lakers up 84-77

Meeks taken out for Kobe instead of playing them together...after 2 1/2 mins of kobe ball with no ball movement = lakers down 86-88

Yeah, Meeks should play with kobe playing the 3 spot for some minutes.

Well i thought it was two years, with the second being a team-option. ESPN reported it also:

Meeks signed a two-year deal, with the first year at $1.4 million and the second being a Lakers' team option that could be worth up to $2 million with incentives, according to his agent David Bauman, who also serves as Ebanks' agent.

A lineup of Kobe/Meeks/MWP/Jamison/Howard would be interesting to see for some stretches.

I was very disappointed with the limited amount of minutes he received against the Magic, and this was coming off of a great game. Let's hope MDA plays him more tonight.

I think MDA saw what Meeks can do, so he played the other players to see if he can use them. The DUI cost Ebanks big time, he's not comfortable out there and might have lost some playing time.

He needs to play more. That's it. We need his shooting with this squad...

not an great game but not a bad one either. Whenever he shoots a 3 i feel like its going in. even that step back or behind the back dribble pull up...his shot always looks good.

he couldnt do much of that tonight bc he was played tight but he put it on the floor and didnt do terrible. had some good plays imo

We just gotta have better ball movement in order to get guys like him and jamison involved more. Jamison was in the first half but not the 2nd and meeks has seemed to have had to create his own 3's the past 2 games vs the passes he got when he went for 7.

3/6 from 3 & 0-5 from inside the arc.

I'm glad he has the confidence to try to drive when they crowd him which is what he should do but he's gotta work on it. also didn't get some calls at the rim so that added to the 0-5.

Played great D though IMO with Morris. I think they both energized the 2nd unit with Hill too
