Meeks is now better then Blake and Nash.

Though Meeks has been quietly playing really consistent ball, I still do not want to see him in the starting lineup. I saw it in pre-season and he wasn't effective with that unit. He's great right where he is, playing the 2 off the bench.

What I would love to see is what some others here have talked about, Henry at the 2 and Johnson at the 3 with the starters, including possibly Hill at the starting 4. Then if Nash can play give him 5 minutes at the 5, then Blake subs in for him at 1. If Nash can't go, start Blake at 1. Repeat in the third quarter. Not sure Nash should even be playing more than that at this point. 10 minutes or so a game may be all he can do to be effective. Maybe he gets some burn in the fourth? No more than 15 minutes a game though. Between Blake and Farmar, especially, they can cover the time and they are better options right now.

We NEED to do something to break up the atrocity of the Nash/Blake backcourt. It's just horrendous on both ends of the court. Those two should NEVER play at the same time. Why is that difficult to see, Mike D?

If he continues to play well, maybe he's worth keeping... who knows? Farmar, X, Young, Wes, Hill... Kaman if he wants to stay. All those guys are cheap and can produce.

Jodie Meeks has been one of our most consistent players? What is going on?

His shots were money tonight, Most of didn't even hit the rim just pure net.

He got fouled on that drive by Harden too.

Just saw tonight's highlights, he was draining everything, but I was actually impressed with his defense on Harden on his last possession near the end.

good energetic d and drilling his shots. nothing but net. catch and shoot, quick release. thats what he needs to do always. it also helps that hes getting consistent minutes and can get in a rhythm with the same guys around him like farmar blake etc. i like how hes improved over the summer. hope he keeps it up and dantoni doesnt mess with his minutes and rhythm. hes a shooter and needs consistency to be consistent and so far he has been awesome.

Who are the players who have a quicker release than Meeks?? Can't be many. It's like fast twitch muscles are being used when he catches and fires. :man4:

I gotta hand it to Meeks this year so far. He may still fumble the ball every time he drives during crunch time, but if that's his only major flaw, that speaks volumes as to how much he's improved.

If he keeps this up he's earning minutes over Blake & Young at SG imo.

Meeks still makes me cringe when he puts the ball on the floor then accidents happen like the crucial strips against San Antonio and the near one from Harden last night. I give him props for having the guts to take that top of the key trey and wherewithal to foul Howard prior to the 2 minute mark. All he needs is time to build confidence on his outside shot and have rhytmn.

Come on you have to admit he has gotten markedly better with handling the ball, even on his seemingly out of control dashes. But he is getting better. Maybe he's trying to channel Westbrook :man10: Whatever it is he is adding looks and needed things to his game. Big props!

Agreed. Meeks is keeping defenders honest by not settling for the perimeter shot. He also takes mid-range shots and floaters too. I like his dogged effort on both sides of the ball though even if it is a mixed bag results wise.

Maybe we're just giving him too much hard work credit? He's playing for the most important contract of his career…… :mhihi: Good! Same with Kaman and the other guys. :jam2:
