hes gunna have to step up HUGE. on both ends. no more missing wide open 3's. hes getting paid to hit those and he has to now. no excuses. and on the other end play with high energy and play smart.

most importantly hes gotta play smart and hit the countless wide open 3's he gets every game.

hes def streaky. but hes never really had a significant role on a team let alone a consistent starter. it seems that dantoni is going offense over defense and starting meeks from here on out instead of the smarter choice in clark who has more experience with the starters and is a better team defender. hopefully with meeks new starting job and more minutes next to nash he can become more consistent.

just hoping bc at this point we have nothing else other than injuries to count on.

good floor game from meeks tonight, imo. made some hustle plays throughout that turned out to be important given the late game implosion.

He had 4 rebounds 3 assists and 5 points. Ideally he has maybe 8 or 11 points, but he still did a pretty good job tonight.

Nothing special tonight, but he played under control and played a solid game. Only Laker to log minutes tonight who had zero turnovers. Not too shabby.

sure did miss a ton of wide open shots especially in that 4th quarter.

The effort is always there, but just like that sequence tonight where he missed 2 straight lay-ups, stole the ball for a third time, and then missed a wide open 3.

He was just bad tonight. He plays hard and that's to to be commended. However, when he's out there he has to make open 3's W's or else it completely nullifies him even being out there, IMO.

If you're gonna shoot an "average" 36.5% from 3-point land, your overall FG% should be at least 45%. Or your defense has to be good.

Meeks has neither.

So he's useless to us pretty much every game except when he gets hot. And it doesn't happen all the time. At this point, Darius Morris has shown to be the better player.

He had a comical sequence, killing 3 straight fast break opportunities after grabbing the ball.

Do we really need fake hustle that doesn't produce any real results? cut his butt in the off-season.

Yeah...that was interesting. When he gets the ball on the break he's like MWP and Fish rolled into one. You know something bad is going to happen, you just don't know what.

Disagree, he can develop and channel that energy into being a pretty good wing player for our bench.
Before long, someone recognized Phil Jackson sitting in the front seat, and then the rocks began to fly. Revelers pelted the bus and shook it, mocking the Lakers at their lowest moment.

he lacks size, handles, IQ, passing, patience, strength. Explain what you see beyond a slightly above average distance shot?

he actually delivers on layups from time to time, mostly when fed by another player. when he tries to orchestrate himself...disaster zone.

But he is really creative when it comes to finding new and original ways to lead the break and ruin it.

Never thought I'd say this, but at this rate, I wouldn't want the Lakers to pick up his option next year, barring a miracle.

Pretty good as in very underwhelming and inconsistant?

This. People here have a knack for falling in love with mediocre dime a dozen players. See: Ebanks, Goudelock, etc. Meeks will always be a below average combo guard. Besides occasionally getting hot from behind the arc, what else does he bring?

It's not like Jodie is an inconsistant youngster with great tools, he's turning 26 soon. He is what he is.

He needs to go if we want to improve as a team next season ... he's a rotation player material on an average team , nothing more
