Jordan Farmar Discussion:Signs with Clippers (31)

I think Farmar can really push the starting unit. He needs major minutes and Nash could still be very effective playing less minutes in a reserve roll. Nash matching up with the other team's back up instead of all these great starting point guards could extend his usefulness a season or two and Farmar would be learning from the best. Think how good that young athletic unit could be with Nash orchestrating them. Sounds like beautiful music to me. Plus we need Farmar's athleticism in the starting unit to balance out some of the old timers. Lakers are it.

he needs big minutes at PG. rather have blake split minutes at PG and SG and have less than farmar. what he can do in terms of youth will be key when playing with williams and wes

I really like the chemistry he is developing with the other Jordan - Mr. Hill - too. They were running some great screen and rolls together. Jordan really could push the second unit.

Farmar/Young/Johnson/Hill with maybe Kaman or Williams out there? That's a fun lineup. That's a team that can move and get up and down the court really well.

Much better game today then the last game in China. He looks so much more at backup PG then Blake does. Can't wait to see what kind of year Farmar gives us.

^ Farmar and Nick played around the same time in HS and college.

Both local LA guys who played in the SFV in HS and college with Farmar at UCLA and Nick at USC.

Keep it local. :jam2:

He definitely improved playing overseas, i like what i saw! :jam2: i hope that calf injury is nothing serious, because he will be big for us coming of bench and taking Steve's role when we play back2back games.
You can see how much smarter he is playing, his shot selection is nice, and not only that, his shooting form is looking smooth and also finishing with off hand.
Just amazing, i'm impressed a lot.

Farmar is still super fast with the ball. He can finish well around the basket too.

I can't lie, I was against getting Farmar at first because I felt he had such a horrible attitude before he left, but the guy has been nothing but spectacular since coming back. He seems to really be getting along with everyone so well. He's made huge improvements in his decision making, but he's still just as quick as before.

Really glad I was wrong about this one :jam2:

Best, most challenging for other team PG we have right now. Until / unless Nash can get back to what he was 2 years ago. Not looking good at start of season.

I can't even express how great it is to have a PG that can get to the rim on a regular basis and make a layup. Nash can't, and Blake doesn't try. Please stay healthy Jordan, we absolutely need this guy all season.

One thing I've always liked about Jordan is his fearlessness. Great stuff tonight. Glad to have him back here. He could be playing quite a lot.

I had a smirk on my face watching that ***clown Sager bait Farmar with questions about systems, players and time away from the Lakers. Farmar looked at Sager and answered them while looking at him how stupid it was.

Unselfish, good shooter, good penetrator, good passer, great finisher. And he plays pretty solid D also. I hope we dont see CP3 going off on us anymore.

He wasn't a great fit in the triangle, but that was fun to watch. I think we'll see a very confident Farmar this year.

He ran the screen and roll so well tonight that Chris Paul was working his butt off trying to stick with him. He played practically a flawless 4th quarter and was in complete control. Player of the game, IMO.

most of his screen and rolls went nowhere, but it wore out CP3. you can just see the maturity in him. just when it seemed like he was just managing the game he explodes with some huge plays. so pumped to have him back.

Can penetrate, hit layups and make threes. I'd say he's better than a 40yr old Nash for sure.

Now just make your free throws
