Jordan Hill cleared from protected weightbearing. Now he must restore NBA conditioning. Hip labral surgery has healed.

Looks like he is 100%, just have to get his legs back.

MWP/Clark
Pau/Jamison
D12/Hill

At least 3-5 is pretty solid if we make the playoffs.

4-5 might be tops in the NBA if we could stay healthy. 3-5 isn't too shabby either.

We're going to really have to lean on Pau/Dwight to go anywhere not only this season but next. It's going to be very interesting to see the direction the Lakers decide to take this next year.

If they decide to stay big and we can stay healthy a rotation of:
Gasol/Clark
Howard/Hill

is damn solid. Through Jamison in there if he wants back in and we've got a really nice front line.

I agree. Our bigs are good. And they are going to be great if we keep them with Dwight. BTW, I would definitely keep Jamison to come in off the bench. Who in the league is better for the same amount of $$? At least he doesn't miss many games.

The back court will need some work. We'll have to use Pau's contract to get someone who can start at the 1, 2 or 3 eventually, and then sign a star guard (PG?) in 2014.

We need all the help we can get, and having high energy players along with size will only help us.

Having him back would be great, especially if Dwight were to get in foul trouble. I just hope that when he does return he is 100%, I don't want him to aggravate one of his injuries.

Well it's up to Jamison on whether he wants to come back. Next season we don't figure to be contenders, so he doesn't have a ton of reason to re-sign here unless he loves LA and this team. I'd love him back, but others have convinced me he might not feel obligated to return here.

How is this possible? On Thursday that article said it would be 3-4 weeks before he could resume on-court activities. I mean I'd be thrilled to have him back, but wow this seems rushed.

He's been cleared by doctors, so I'm fine with it. Another tweet somewhere (I think from Dr. Klapper) said that his hip is fully healed and now it's about conditioning.

Yup, and I read another tweet some time ago that once he hits 100% body weight, he can resume basketball activities. If he just moved from 90% to 95%, then he's pretty close :jam2:

Depending on how late in first round and Jordan Hill conditioning to determine green light for play. He is FULL weightbearing now!!

Good news, but take your time Hill. I'd rather have you 100% next season than come back too early and get injured again.

Hill coming back may help our rotation out a little bit and slide Metta to the SG in some instances.

Figure it will take time to restore NBA level conditioning. Really need that before going out on the floor, otherwise too much risk of injury. Part of avoiding injury is being in shape in the first place. Methinks a couple of weeks before he's ready to make an appearance on the floor. Hope Lakers are still alive by then. Game 5 on 4/30, Game 6 on 5/2, Game 7 on 5/4. I'd be looking for Hill to make an appearance then.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

Hill is an Energizer Bunny guy so if he isn't in NBA shape (and he won't be) his usage will be limited, we aren't going to have a lot of garbage time for guys to ease their way back in. If we were contenders and definitely playing until June I could see him making an impact in this postseason.
