Lakers free-agent forward Jordan Hill to meet with Timberwolves
12 minutes ago

Email
The Los Angeles Lakers' bid to re-sign free-agent forward Jordan Hill will have to withstand the available salary-cap space of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Hill, 24, plans to travel to Minneapolis on Monday to discuss a deal with the Timberwolves management, league sources said. The T'wolves could have as much as $20 million in cap space to spend on free agents.
Minnesota also has a strong interest in trying to make a trade for Lakers star Pau Gasol.

The Lakers can offer Hill a four-year deal worth nearly $17 million, but the Wolves – who are also pursuing free-agent guard Brandon Roy – have the ability to make a bigger offer. After a sluggish start with the Lakers, Hill had several strong playoff performances.

The Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic also have interest in Hill, who was traded to the Lakers from Houston for Derek Fisher and a first-round pick in March.

Jordan was the eighth overall pick by the New York Knicks in the 2009 draft.

Jordan wants more money, obviously. T-Wolves must have wanted to try and sign him in free agency for less. If the Lakers can convince the Wolves that they'll sign him for more than what the T-Wolves would have offered, then maybe they can strike a deal for a sign-and-trade for Beasley.

S.O.B... what's your decision!?
In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

He likely agreed to a sign-and-trade, as it can’t become official until Wednesday, to the Orlando Magic.

I don't think that was implied in his post..

I'd be so confused if he didn't sign with LA.

He obviously made an impression on the lakers. Got solid minutes as the first big off the bench. Got praised by everyone and I'm sure even Mike Brown told him as he actually gave someone else minutes besides the normal 7 players.

Got double doubles in the playoffs.

Only gunna get better as I'm sure he'll get a little more mins along with McBob as the main backup bigs. He'll be back....hed be stupid not too. Although it is annoying the heat are involved now...who haven't they gotten this offseason. How do you have lbj wade bosh AND ray allen? And we get nixed out of cp3...just annoying but whatever happy with nash and poss grant
