Jordan Hill Discussion: Back for 2 yr/$18 mil

I dont know how he's gonna make it through the year. After every hustle play hes holding his back, he took a couple of hard falls tonight. Can he do the surgery and come back around Late March/early April?

i just think he needs to take it easy and not go so hard. we love it but not at the expense of him getting more injured especially this early in the season. we need him for the post season.

i dont think his injury is bad enough for surgery he just needs time and hes trying to play and heal at the same time. his style of play isnt ideal for that

I really thought he damaged himself when he landed on his foot awkwardly. Thank God he was still able to play. He is an invaluable rebounder and hustle player for us. :jam2:

He doesn't need a surgery, he really just needs rest.

Unfortunately he's not going to get a ton of it because he's really valuable to what we do. Hopefully the training staff can get him to find the balance between hustle and hurting himself.

Last night's fall & concern wasn't about his back though. Billy Mac said it was his back but he failed to see that Jordan was actually grabbing his ankle. It was reported later that he had twisted his ankle or something but he was fine and ready to stay on the floor, as we saw in the 4th.
Not saying there's no reason for concern however

I also thought he injured his back when he fell down, and it wasn't until I saw the replay that I knew it was rather his ankle than his back. Hopefully both his back and ankle are feeling okay, we really need him out there. He was dunking everything yesterday. :jam2:

This guy is awesome as a garbage man type player for us. He's found his niche on this team.....

For Derek Fisher, we are getting the better part of that deal for sure.

I love this guy, all hustle. We're just lucky that Brown was forced to play him against OKC last year or we'd probably never have known what he could bring, yet another guy Brown almost wasted.

Yep, liku bluemamba reminded me - Brown could have cost us him, just as he had with CDR.

Hill can be really good. He has some scoring ability when he's not trying too much, brings a lot of energy, rebounds well... plays D, gets physical. A real gem for us.

This guy is pure hustle & energy. Re-signing him was huge for us

Yeah I was thinking during the game, damn we got a good deal for him, giving up just Fisher.

Yep, he's our best bench player by far. I just hope he manages to stay healthy this year. He's getting pretty banged up out there.

If he's healthy enough, he should get 20 mpg.

How valuable is this guy off the bench? He just needs to improve his P & R D but other than that hes doing what we need him to do

Don't we always?

He's becoming a legit NBA player that has to be accounted for. Does all the dirty work and takes his shots within the flow of the offense (something most bench players / offensively challenged players don't know how to do).

Hill commits a ton of TOs, but he's an incredibly opportunistic player otherwise. 7/6 in 16 minutes, shooting 50%, and grabbing 3-4 offensive boards per game? He's doing all the dirty work we could ask for from a backup big.
