Jordan Hill has a Herniated Disc (p.7 - Woj: Back Tomorrow)

Great News indeed....! Hill seemed to be optimistic with his Tweet & now this news from Wojo.
Keeping fingers crossed.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill, the top frontline backup to All-Stars Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol, doesn't need surgery for a herniated disc in his back and will return to the lineup before the Oct. 30 season opener, league sources told Yahoo! Sports

gill if you don't mind me asking, where did you find that report?

Awesome news.

Hopefully what this does is force Brown to use Jamison at the 4 for the time being, which gets the team used to it and clicking and then we get Meeks in there at the 2. Then when Hill gets back he just plays the 5 where he belongs.

*5 of course being relative as he should be playing next to Dwight or Pau most of the time.

So I'm guessing hill and bruce Wayne have the same doctor

His statement actually made me a bit less worried. He said how while the herniated disk is in a worse place than Dwight, he believes that the Lakers found out about it early and he would likely just need some rest.

I feel much better right now about this whole thing.

thats great news! but his injury could have been a blessing in disguise...it would have forced mike brown to play jamison at the 4 and he would have seen how effective that would have been. also sacre would have gotten some mins before hills return and gotten to prove that he can be productive for us so hes not buried on the bench the whole season.

at least jamison will get the preseason to play the 4 hopefully and show that thats where he belongs with ebanks at the 3 and meeks at the 2 not the bench!

Great news.

Reading all the reactions when we first found out about the injury makes you remember what the expectations were when we first traded for him. I remember most people thought it was a bad trade, and we didn't think he'd be anything more than a garbage min type player. Now he's one of our best players coming off the bench and a critical part to this championship core.

Standard medical procedure for a herniated disk, I'm not sure why Dwight decided to get cut open
